It seems a few travelling Addicks missed the 1st goal tonight or were entering the ground as the 1st BWP goal went in.

This was because our coach leaving Bexleyheath at 4.30pm took over 3 hours to get to Wycombe for a variety of reasons, however the other coach leaving Bexleyheath got to the ground by 7pm plenty of time for kick off.

So why did our coach arrive late while the other coach arrived on time? Our coach had to do several pickups from Bexhill and other Kent locations before arriving to Bexleyheath, went to Well Hall and picked up fans, then went back down the A2 again to join the M25 southwards only to then find we had to stop at Clacket Lane service station for 30 minutes because legally the driver was obliged to take a break from doing so much driving....

Meanwhile the other coach leaving Bexleyheath heads to Wycombe via the M25 northways and no break needed and arrives at Wycombe 7pm plenty of time.

Now I can understand the club has a loyal away group of fans to pick up from Kent and I can understand the driver legally was obliged to take a break for 30 mins from driving for so long but surely this ought to have been accounted for beforehand when organising the pickup times? I can accept there was also a lot of traffic on the road but these things should be accounted for. It's only the fact that a few of us got off the coach down the road from the ground (which was stuck in traffic) and walked briskly to the ground that we made it through the turnstiles as the game was kicking off, let alone needing any refreshments, toilets, finding seats etc. Sadly those that stayed on the coach were coming into the ground as the goal went in, some would even have missed the goal too.

Now i've been going on the coaches for away games since about 1993 and yes they are always well organised but i'm afraid tonight was just a shambles. The fact that some fans will have missed the 1st goal because they were on one coach and not the other shouldn't happen. This was also the 1st time on an away game we've had to stop at services on the M25 to allow the driver a 30 minutes break and rightly or wrongly so this 30 minutes break was the reason our coach was late and fans missed the 1st goal.

Hopefully this news will filter back to the club in some capacity so lessons can be learnt from tonight when otherwise it's usually a great well-organised service.

Have to admit I also got the Coach from Bexleyheath but luckily got the other one which arrived @ 7pm I did wonder why it took you all so long to arrive.

Secondly I was also surprised that our Coach didnt insist on stopping for a break as well... But for yours to stop @ Clacketts Lane is ridiculous as its only bout 30mins from Bexleyheath.

I know a few years ago I went to Ipswich and Nottm Forest was late both times and because enough people complained they moved the departure times, good thing they did else you'd have missed the whole first half....
