... are there any better players in world football than Ricardo Pereira and Ben Chilwell?

I’m going to start with ‘no’

No both awful today. Hope Pep seen how shockingly bad they are

I personally would stick with Delph and Danilo over Chilwell and Ricardo

How many of our regular team would you say are the best in their positions outside the top 6, I.e should enable us to finish as best of the rest where we sit now. It was something I was thinking and this thread is sort of related.

Schmeichel - one of the best in the league, definitely best outside the top 6, better than some in it.

Ricardo and Chilwell - not much competition. Again could walk into most sides. Chilwell only competion Robertson? Wan Bissaka and Coleman from outside the top 6 on the right bit I’d have Riccy.

Maguire - Everton have some tidy CB’s but any as in demand from top clubs or as good on the ball?

Vardy - no competition. Nobody other than Kane or Aguero as out and out strikers come close

Maddison- only young but could well be a top no 10. Again Everton provide the competition with Sigurrdson

It helps to see where we need to strengthen anyway

I did think Ricardo could have done better than just watch Silva move into space to score their goal. He is very good going forward and is learning very quickly how to improve his defending. Chilwell has to be the best left sided full back/wing back in the country at the moment.

In terms of competing outside the top 6:

Schmeichel - best after Pickford I’d say

Pereira - no competition I think

Chilwell - no competion, arguably competing with Alonso and Robertson (and a fit Mendy who I think is a class above)

Maguire - head and shoulders above and ready to move to a leading top 6 CB. Arguably one of the best in the league after VVD (remember he is England’s first choice CB)

N’didi - its hard to compare but as a defensive midfielder possibly the best (Gueye competition). However there are plenty of other better midfielders such as Neves, Moutinho, Andre Gomes

Maddison - I reckon best number 10 but Sigurdson is up there

Vardy - probably best out and out striker but I’d say players like him, Arnautovic, Wilson, Mitrovic, Richarlison, Zaha are all very similar ability but very very different players

Where we do seem to lack is wingers really. Whilst I rate Albrighton, another winger of really quality is what our squad is lacking.

Pickford is massively overrated because he is english. I would have Kasper over him

Pretty much agree with everything here although I would say that Madison has a bit of a way to go to match up to the likes of Ozil and Pogba - although he has outperformed them this season so far.

Albrighton's biggest attribute is his consistency - while he lacks the x factor to unlock defences, you know what you will get from him.

Agreed on Maddison - this excluding the top 6 sides

    Sos - missed that disclaimer.

Means that I agree with it all then.
