Just when you thought it couldn't get much worse! Old Plug has taken a knock in training so that leaves us with ALB in goal tomorrow night against Burnley! We're doomed I tell ye! Doomed! So with our 2 front line keepers both injured we have no back up for ALB. Not Jewell's fault I grant you but he doesn't seem to be a lucky manager does he!

Jewell told ALB on Friday that he was going to pick Wrighty for the game on Saturday and apparently he wasn't very happy about it! Really? If I was ALB I would be livid when he has been training week in and week out with the first team squad waiting to get his chance. Suddenly out of the blue Jewell brings in another has been who goes straight into the first team. What must ALB be feeling now? We are a complete and utter bloody shambles.

He's probably thinking "man, I must be ****, I never get near the number one shirt"
On the one hand you are eluding that it's a nightmare to now have to use ALB in goal but then you go on to sympatise with him as if you really feel he deserved his chance after Stocks got injured. Do you want him to play or not?

I don't want him anywhere near our goal but I have to feel sympathy with him as he has been made to feel that he is crap! I have also heard that Tommy Smith is being lined up for a return tomorrow night! Heavan bloody help us!

    Bit harsh wark

I actually thought for quite a few games ( especially his debut at cardiff ) ALB did alright actually

Certainly a damn site better than clown Wright, who couldn't catch a cold and decided to money grab at West Ham / Everton etc on the subs bench.

Wish Fa Cup ears hadn't come back, already 1 error, stay tuned for 100s more

ALB may not be great, but at least he tries in life............. no doubt we're actually paying Wright £8000 or something outrageous too

ALB must surely realise he is a back up. He was released by hartlepool before we signed him which doesnt really scream must be number 1 at you does it? I can understand that he may feel a little let down but I aslo think he can do a good job for the club. He has in the past and Im not afraid to call on him again.
On recalling Tommy Smith, Im not against this either. When he was given a regular place in the team he done a sound job for us last year and looked no better or no worse than any other player. The problem he has had since his run is that hes only been given a bit part in a faultering club since then which means it has been easy to just slot in.

you can pick and moan about who you like the fact is the whole lot are too old jewell has bought so many has beens ,and its now showing ,hes got it all wrong its time for him to leave football for good hes had his time he should never have come back into it after he walked out of his last job , and ipswich ars just as much to blame for thinking he could do a job for them . i am not sure if he can keep us off relegation i have no faith in the man what so ever .

To be fair i think Wright has been at the club week in week out for quite a while(unpaid) so i'm sure Jewell knew who is the better keeper....

    I agree with Gus.

I worry that our central defenders aren't old or injury prone enough. I hope in the transfer window PJ gets at least two at 36+ who've spent at least the last two years with metal pins through their knees.

And more loan players, please. Not nearly enough of those. Preferably where we don't need strengthening.

And right backs are for wimps.

I merely jape, by the way. We must lighten things up around here. I fear it'll need it by 9:45 tonight.
