Hi Chaps - looking forward to locking horns with you next season.

I just wanted your thoughts on the FAW stance on not having a GB Team in the Olympics

"Plans for Great Britain football teams to compete at the 2016 Rio Olympics have been scrapped.
The English Football Association had hoped to field men's and women's teams at the Games but failed to gain support from the other home nations. "

Is their position something you agree with or would you like to see a GB team every 4 years?

While I like the idea of an all Brit team, subject to the age limitations at London, the concern this side of the bridge is that by throwing our hat in with a GB side we may lose our international independence. I guess the same applies to the Irish and Scots.

While FIFA may say there would not be a problem I wouldn't trust anything they say and they could easily turn it on it's head in the future. Therein lies the difficulty.

I may be wrong but wouldn't Bale and Ramsey (probably the 2 most influential non-English players) be over the age limit? If so, are there that many Welsh, Scottish or Irish players you would want to see in a GB team?

Great season for the sh!theads and the gas are doing well also. With no local derby this season it will be good to "renew acquaintances" next year - as long as you behave yourselves when in God's country.

When will your new stand be finished and will that remain the away end?

    Hi bfb

Yes I guess it comes down to if you trust FIFA - I think I know the answer to that!!

Our new stand behind the goal will be finished for next season. However the Williams stand will be done next season (this is going to be completely demolished and replaced with a huge new one).

The away end next season (as it is this year) will be in the Ateyo - the one the teams come out of - I think it will stay there once everything is done.

Just about as much as I trust John Parkin and an empty room full of pies. Can see why the FAW and the other home nations have turned this idea down - it would just be an English B/U21 team. Is their any point?

Hope you Wurzels get promoted. Enjoy a trip to Trashtip Gate <ok>
