I keep an eye on the medal table but that's about it tbh.
Doing well - second in the table.

Shame we can't raise a Team GB football team though. I might have taken some more interest in it had we done so.
Only mildly though - it's just not my sort of competition.

I never have been a fan of the idiots on two wheels but I have become an addict of our Olympic Cycling teams, male and female, I think they are absolutely brilliant, what an example to our youngsters, terrific...

Loving it, funny how cycle riding is worldwide but this little nation is smashing it. Shows what funding can do when used wisely.

Even watching the hockey now, not got a scoobie what it's about but we're winning 3-0

Great effort, but hope it doesn't encourage even more Lycra clad.men on push bikes treating the walkways like a flipping velodrome when I am out for a run!

a fantastic advert for honest well funded sport. and a couple of the cyclists in the female team were migrated to it from their chosen sport where they were only going to be average or so
Chew magna and the lakes around to Chewton Mendip, Pensford AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS a haven most nights and weekends to spot about a dozen brace!!!

Cycling dominance a partial byproduct of the fabulous engineering industry we have in the UK

    Non Team GB news.
But well done to Usain Bolt 3 gold medals on 3 consecutive Olympics. That surely won't be repeated in my life time in track athletics.
I know people talk about sporting greats and now he must be up there.

    Is Jamaica in the Commonwealth?

If so then surely it will soon be Sir Usain Bolt?

With Russia missing there was a shed load of extra medals up for grabs, and great to see Team GB step up and grab a whole bunch of them to take 2nd place on the medal table.

to finish 2nd in the table is nothing but a miracle ... so far only 4 drug cheats!
4 x 400 I think was wrong... decision and we would have maybe got a silver or bronze .

had they stayed in the correct positions the incoming runners would have had to crossed and that would have resulted in one either having to slow down
thus giving up time or on delivery the inside man would have had to been crossed thus losing momentum a no win all round as it turned out
Tae kwon do 1 sec on clock and loses . no way, kick was after time . or winner started move before clock ... no matter it was silver anyway!

    WELL DONE TEAM G B

The Russians have done better than anyone else - they are currently 4th with only about 3 athletes eligible to take part!
    Respect!!!

Per capita Jamaica beat Russia ...Easily. Per capita v Britain, its GB .. Easily.

Medals per 100 athletes participating numerous Countries beat Russia.

Team GB's success is monumental. Russia being able to only find 270 clean athletes is not.
