British Team: Hart (Over-23) Walker...Jones...Bertrand Walcott...Ramsey (Captain)...Wilshere...Rodwell...Bale Sturridge...Rooney (Over-23) Plus Rudd, Smalling, M. Kelly, Beckham, Welbeck --- Now can you honestly tell me that: A) This team wouldn't destroy the rest of the competition in the Olympics 2012 B) You wouldn't want this team playing @ Euro 2012 (Think of the PACE!!!)
Dodgy system for the players to get used to in such a short time. Hart (over 23) Walker Jones Smalling Baines (over 23) ---------Rodwell Wilshere -------------Ramsey Walcott--Rooney(over 23)--Bale
Im sorry but there is no way Wilshire should be captain, I know Rooney can be an arse, but I still feel he should be captain, As he has alot more experience than the rest. No way would I have Beckham, if your going to pick a player of that age, then why not Giggs, atleast he still plays at the highest level. The system is a stupid one, who plays with 3 defenders, and 2 very attacking wingers, it is not a game of FIFA. Play 442, that's the way to play
No mention of Oxlade-Chamberlain? Pearce has found him extremely useful in the Under-21s, so I can see him wanting to get him playing in his Olympic squad too.
Beckham deserves his place in this team and i'll be very pissed off if he don't get it, his one of the only english players that actually gives 100% and wants to play for england so bad, his not as fast as he use to be but he can still do a lovely cross and some lovely free-kicks and i'd much rather have him than that useless piece of **** walcock
With the 2012/13 season due to start the day of the closing ceremony, are multi-national sides like Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and a fair few other PL sides going to have to play reserve sides in their opening fixtures? They certainly wont have time for pre season training!
Walker Jones and Bertrand at the back? We'd get destroyed! I'd be shocked if Rooney plays at the Olympics after a Euros, even though he might be lucky to even get one game. I think we'll see no more than one of the over 23s coming from any one country, although I'm not sure if any Jock's have put themselves forward yet.
I'd be shocked to see Rooney play anyway, considering he doesn't give a **** about England. Why would he give a **** about Team GB?
