With hundreds of events and thousands of competitors we've never heard of, this must be a golden opportunity to beat the bookies. People like Mike are having to assign odds to ribbon twirling, mud wrestling and all-sorts, they are bound to slip up. So, any tips?
You are actually quite right, if you are any good at these things you can make money. The last company I worked for, who are maybe the 3rd or 4th largest betting company in the world, assigned me to do Judo for the Olympics. It was basically a lucky dip out of a hat on who got what sport. If I was up against someone who actually followed Judo I'd lose money - I'm basically hoping that with my over-round added on and thousands of clueless people like myself gambling we'll cover the loses of the individual who actually knows what he is doing.
pretty decent odds for the 100m If I was a betting man I would have a grand on that no bother. I think that lad blake has beaten bolt twice at 200m this year though.
