I read that and thought of a naughty boy and being told off by the bank manager, like spending your dosh on ***s women and boose instead of saving it for a Labour government to pinch

Scammer helped speeding drivers dodge prosecution

    • 4 December 2024
The ringleader of a speeding fine scam which helped more than a dozen drivers to avoid penalty points has been jailed.

Khuram Yaqoob provided false names and addresses on behalf of drivers who were trying to escape prosecution for a speeding penalty, Bradford Crown Court heard.

Yaqoob, of Bawtry Road in Doncaster, received thousands of pounds in exchange for his services, with the criminal scheme running between June 2017 and December 2019.

A further 18 drivers were sentenced on Tuesday and Wednesday after either admitting or being convicted of perverting the course of justice.

The Recorder of Bradford, Judge Jonathon Rose, described Yaqoob as “the central figure and ringleader” in the conspiracy.

The scam was only rumbled in 2019 when he was arrested in relation to firearms offences and his mobile phone revealed details of the scam.

Yaqoob, 35, was jailed for three years and four months after admitting conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
Huddersfield taxi driver Idris Yousaf, 45, was also jailed for six months after the court heard that he could have faced disqualification from driving if he had three more points on his licence.

Yousaf, of Sycamore Avenue, Golcar, paid Yaqoob a total of £290 for him to deal with his Notice of Intended Prosecution after he was caught doing 36mph in a 30mph zone.

A secondary school teacher from Bradford narrowly avoided an immediate jail sentence after he was caught by a speed camera doing 95mph on a motorway in December 2017.

Akib Mahmood, 30, of Wimborne Drive, Bradford, admitted using Yaqoob’s services when he was “naive and stupid”.

Mahmood was sentenced to six months in jail suspended for two years, but he must comply with an electronically monitored night-time curfew for the next six months and do 100 hours unpaid work for the community.

    The other drivers sentenced were:

Nosheen Ashraf, 31, of Rushton Road, Bradford, was also jailed for seven months
Waqas Hanif, 33, Lilycroft Road, Bradford, jailed for nine months

Ibrar Hussain, 28, Bronshill Road, Bradford, jailed for nine months

Usman Sulaman, 37, Princeville Road, Bradford, jailed for 10 months

Mohammed Macmour, 31, Bentcliffe Drive, Leeds, jailed for 12 months

Seth Mahmood, 26, Alvanley Court, Bradford, jailed for 10 months

Safina Iqbal, 34, Scholes Street, Bradford, six months in prison suspended for two years with a six-month electronically monitored curfew

Safyan Sarwar, 32, Lindley Moor Road, Elland, jailed for 10 months

Shazad Hamid, 46, Emm Lane, Bradford, eight months suspended for two years with an electronically monitored curfew for nine months

Mohammed Bhatti, 26, Grange Drive, Bradford, jailed for six months

Haroon Mushtaq, 28, Woodlands Crescent, Halifax jailed for 10 months

Qaiser Rehman, 31, Whitby Road, Bradford jailed for 14 months

Mohammed Shakeel, 32, Church Street, Heckmondwike jailed for six months

Billy Thomas-Hopwood, 35, Yewdall Way, Bradford jailed for six months

Mohammed Yunis, 28, Chapel Lane, Bradford jailed for seven months

A list of things guaranteed to get your back up so good and true, nicked from the prem board

Muslims – people wanting to do religion should keep it to themselves and not expect others to live by their ideological ethics.
Keir Starmer/Labour – Communists with proven track record of abject failure in any office.
Immigrants – people coming here by various means over which insufficient control is being exhibited.
Asylum seekers – no problem with genuine ones that comply with the asylum system and prove their entitled to claim asylum.
BLM – corrupt organisation in support of a dead career criminal in the USA with little positive relevance.
Multi cultural society – this was a successful one until about 25 years ago but has dissembled in recent times.
Diversity in jobs – employment should be a meritocracy; social manipulation has always been proven to fail.
Statues – inanimate objects that seem to be unjustified targets of those that wish to rewrite history to suit their ideological beliefs.
Flag on England kit – unclear which ‘Flag’ is being referred to here. Being English, it is the kit my nation’s players wear in games.
Palestine protesters – scumbags wanting a non-existent state, mostly Islamists and anti -Semitic Lefties.
Trans people – an extremely small subset of humans with genetic mutations that some now want to medically inflict on vulnerable people.
Gender pronouns – these have existed for a long time but some appear to be wilfully misappropriated in recent times.
Multi Gender groups – no problem with groups containing men and women as I seem to be surrounded by them much of the time and they are the only genders.
Mixed race adverts – where the mixing of the races is a realistic reflection of society this is not a problem.
Ethnic actors in historical dramas – it seems reasonable to expect the parts of historical figures to be portrayed by actors/actresses of the correct ethnicity.
The EU – failing Leftie Establishment attempt to turn much of Europe into a supplicant suprastate.
The BBC – Leftie Establishment mouthpiece struggling to justify the compulsory public subscription for little worthwhile output.
The Guardian – tawdry rag that employs the likes of Owen Jones but continues to provide inadvertent comic entertainment.
Just stop oil protesters – scumbags doing the maximum amount to alienate people against their unrealistic cause, usually spoilt brats called Tarquin and Ophelia.
Homosexuality – people wanting to practice unbiological relationships should keep their behaviour to themselves and their like.
Women – given that they represent more than 50% of the species this is too non-specific a category to comment.
RLNI – I suspect that is meant to be the illegal immigrant trafficking service known as the RNLI, who won’t get a penny from me.
The NHS – a failed 70 year experiment in Communist healthcare that needs to be replaced with a workable model.
Teachers – many of the modern ones seem to be desperate Lefties that cannot control children because the parents exercise no disciplinary control over them at home.
Greta – nothing against Italian actress Ms Scacchi or did you mean the late Swedish actress Ms Garbo?
Khan – was he not killed in Star Trek II?
Anyone who doesn’t wear a poppy – those that do not want to celebrate the people that died so they are free to not wear one have my contempt but could keep their views to themselves and allow others to pay their respects peacefully.
Rashford – have only seen a photo of Tamara so insufficient details to comment.
Lefties on twitter – who cares if they leave as it is supposedly a platform of free speech so they can come and go as they please.
Lefties leaving twitter – who cares if they leave as it is supposedly a platform of free speech so they can come and go as they please.
Adverts when it’s not all white heterosexual people. – where the mixing of the races is a realistic reflection of society this is not a problem.
Attack on free speech – people that refuse the right to freedom of speech are scumbags deserving of my contempt.
Anyone with a different opinion speaking freely – no problem with people having a difference of opinion provided they allow others to differ.
Corbyn – lifetime loser from a middle class family, Islamist anti-Semite that used to ride Diane Abbott around East Germany; a comedy legend that continues to give.
Nike – corporate idiots paying the price of their stupidity in a free market society.
Jaguar – corporate idiots paying the price of their stupidity in a free market society.
Bud light – corporate idiots paying the price of their stupidity in a free market society.

Sod French cheeses, you missed those two rich hypocrites Gary Lineker and Carol Vorderman off your list.
