Laugh all you like mate, the guy actually cares and gives all he's got every game. The fact he hasn't got a lot is not his fault.
If Pogba is going for £150m I’d like to hope that we can shift Lingard on as part of that deal as well, maybe we could settle on £140m if Real Madrid take both.
Never seen a player go down as quickly as Lingard because of the influence of another player. The lad worked so hard to get his chance with us and was starting to make a case for starting every game upto the middle of last season. Unfortunately I can see Rashford starting to go the same way, Pogba has lead them into the "it's all a laugh now I have made it" attitude with no thought as to why they have made it.
Love the way Ferguson was slaughtered for 'letting' Pogba go on a free when we resigned him. Oh how everyone laughed. Fact is, Fergie probably drove the **** and his family to the nearest bus stop. Rightly.
He didn't "let" him go, the kid refused to sign a contract because he thought he should get guaranteed game time ahead of what we had. That said enough about his attitude for Fergie to "facilitate" his exit pronto.
Another good quote from Ole It was challenging being caretaker boss and then permanent manager, and having a difficult end to the season. But do you see the new era beginning now really? “Not really, as those five to six months that we had from December has been great knowledge for me. We can see the ups and downs and you can see the capabilities of the players, and what we can do when we’re at our best. At Manchester United, and in the Premier League, I have to say, you have to be at our best for long, long periods. You’ve got to be consistent. You can see the top two teams last season were so consistent. We’ve got to get up there so that’s great knowledge and learning for us, and great experience. Of course, to have the pre-season together and lay down the foundations and principles to get the fitness, the tactics and the mentality right, and to get the team gelled as one, is important.” The man is under no illusions and has expectations of his players.
He's doing everything right in this off season. It is refreshing to not be reading negativity tied to the manager. Now we need to get rid of clowns left in the squad and and looking ahead with the correct team attitude, starting with hardworking and understanding the privilege that each of the players have to be playing for the club.
So the rumour this morning is that we will hijack the De Ligt transfer. Literally the day after his own agent said “United are in the middle of a massive decline”. Let’s just forget about De Ligt, it’s not happening. But Woodward putting out a statement that we will never work with Raiola again wouldn’t be such a bad thing. Useless ****ing rodent.
I have to say the de Ligt transfer is dragging on for something that was supposed to be a done deal just a few weeks ago.First it was Barca, then RM, then Juve and PSG - we've been snubbed by him over 300 times this last week alone, so it wouldn't surprise me if we didn't buy the lad and given what Leicester are asking for Maguire, de Ligt would be the better value for the same outlay. I bet that fat pig Raiola is horsetrading some deal whereby we get de Ligt if we sell Pogba - I'd be happy with that.
Forget De Ligt, he's only 19 years old for **** sake. We need someone who will sort and lead that defence, hence why Maguire is probably a better bet, although we know massively over priced. De Ligt will be whored around Europe by Raiola forever, we need to steer clear. If we get rid of Pogba and get Maguire, Fernandes and Milinkovic-Savic in, we'd be good to go. Doesn't really matter what happens with Lukaku then, he can be sub centre forward for all the difference it makes. If he leaves, great. If he stays, also ok, as he can play against the likes of Bournemouth and Villa and score the odd goal.
Raiola is bad news, he’s got way too much influence over things that shouldn’t be in his control. Agents should be banned by FIFA from speaking to the press about their players who are under contract. Horrible fat slug.
I'm guessing from he press reports that the person in hospital is Mike Phelan. Whoever it is i hope they make a speedy recovery. Edit - just read that it's Mark Dempsey.
