    A very good player
But then we knew that. Smith has a hard act to follow.

If Kelly goes on and does very well (which wouldn't surprise many) then good luck to him.
It would seem he sailed through pre-season to have impressed to that degree.

Why were we so apparently, content to let him move?

Wages too high or was there a personality clash between Liam and Steve?
    Anyone able to clarify?

God knows, but I thought he was quality. maybe the injury put some doubt in SC mind as to whether we would ever see the best of him, he did spend large periods here injured.!

What would Kelly and one of the others been like together in our MF.?

'maybe the injury put some doubt in SC mind as to whether we would ever see the best of him, he did spend large periods here injured.!'

    Banksy might well be correct.
To me he looked a bit of a plodder and lacked a yard.
Elliot looked awful in his first game but was lacking fitness big time.
Perhaps it was the same for Kelly.

Junior was useless but had a great footballing brain.
If he thinks Kelly can play that should be good enough.

Lots of people talked highly of him, including a relative in Scotland who is a Kilmarnock fan.- personally, whenever I saw him play, I always thought the jury was out a bit. What with his injury as well, who knows.

Didn't get the best of starts as he was signed by D Mac who left just days later and then had to impress a new boss. Getting relegated didn't help either.

Good luck to him and fair play to Junior too.

I can't actually say on the games I've watched of Kelly and say he was quality. He was out of his depth in the championship but to be fair he came in at a really bad time. He then got injured for all of last season and when he came back into the team late on he looked lost and quite frankly.... terrible. I was gutted we lost him though as he showed promise. The potential was there and I was hoping we could reap it. However this tells me Oldham lack a lot of leadership as there is no way in hell Kelly is captain material.
