Can you remember that day in Wembley when we took 30,000 odd to the League 2 playoff final - and can u remember the last home game of the season when we had more than 6,000 against Macclesfield..?
Well i have just seen that Torquay have sold a mere 6,000 (=O) tickets for their play-off final!!

The largest problem is where the playoff final is played.

I know that this year there were complications with Wembley because if the Champions League final, so they moved it to Old Trafford, but then it's sod's law that two southern based teams get to the final.

When Gills played Wigan, Wigan only brought about 10,000, but if that had been played at Old Trafford the numbers probably would have been reversed.

A few years ago Rochdale played Stockport at Wembley......

As this is the Football League (and not the FA) it would be nice to think that at least for the D2 final, and maybe even the D1 final they might be able to make plans for a number of grounds to be on standby so that the supporters of the two clubs involved in the final were able to travel the shortest distance. They would probably argue that it's the 'getting to a Wembley final' experience that is the most important, but frankly I don't care where I'd see a game if it meant that my club got promoted. How many times has Wembley actually been full for D2 and D1 finals?
