I'm going to refrain from using a coarse adjective to describe what I think about Ronaldo and his disrespect for Iceland....... he called them a country with small mentality If anyone's got a small mentality, it surely is somebody who has embarrassed himself by not having the good grace to accept that the opposition played well...... what does he do - acts like a spoilt child and refused to exchange shirts with the Icelandic captain. Old Nora may well be able to play football at the highest level - but has shown that, in terms of humility, he is well below non league standard - and more like a Raw Ken.
I've never liked Ronaldo, probably my most despised player and I've always been open about my opinion of him as an individual, yes as an individual, I generally don't attack players as a rule only their performance. I think Ronaldo is full of himself and what has been revealed as his disrespect is no surprise to me at all - at last he has revealed his true mentality to all his admirers. I would love Portugal to lose tonight, nothing against the Portugal as a footballing side, completely the opposite but as long has Ronaldo is in the team they will never be endearing to me. He has one of those smug faces I really want to punch
brb I thought I was being kind by calling him Old Nora - had this been GC - he would have got worse treatment from me than I could ever give to Toby !
It was nice what he did for the football supporter at the end, just a shame he can not show that same compassion more often in public. I get it is all a persona along with the skill that makes him millions, he is his own advertising hoarding, but with the exception of the odd glimmer of what I saw at the end of the game, he just comes across as a complete Richard and still remains my most despised footballer.
brb Yes it was a nice touch - but the 'damage' had been done ! Do you fancy doing a new background picture for this forum ? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36569180 Don't you dare !
