Yes, a good summary. But the realism, not really, touched upon, is that their ambitions are at no risk. Even if they fail, they will be well compensated and more likely back in a job sooner rather than later. The culture of blaming the board for not backing them has become the excuse for many a sacked manager. But the reality is, they didn't live up to their promises or reputations. I'm not one for saying we are indebted to Paul Lambert. It was his job to improve us and he did. Far easier than he could have hoped to at Colchester or Wycombe. But I'm glad he was our manager at the time as he did everything he said he would. And so I will always respect his achievements with us. But that's all.
I feel similar Redruth. Lambert did a great job here but thought the grasses were greener at Villa. He must be worried now. By the way, the comments on the article by Rick, now getting abuse from Liverpool fans, are from me.
