35 games this season 131 yellows 9 reds (I make that a red card roughly every four games and he's already sent Mulgrew off this season at Ibrox). Pat Fenlon was giving him pelters at the weekend but I think he's our highest rated ref (either him or Collum). He's one of UEFA's "elite" referrees - there's only 23 or 24 of them and he's "fae ra toon" so fair play.
He had a decent game at the weekend, as in got all the big decisions correct and hardly noticed him. Pat Fenlon said that straight after the game before watching the replays. Are they gonna let Scott Brown write the names on the back of the strips next week again?
He was referee in the Europa League semi final between Atletico Madrid and Valencia last week, but he'll still be ****e according to Harry/Lenny.
Will always be remember for denying Celtic ,penalty after penalty at Ibrox a couple of years back , least he had the guts to apologise unlike the other old from refs that season . How is Sunday a meaningless game ??? For goodness sake it COULD be the last ever old firm game !!! A lot of bragging points if we win
I am more concerned who the head police constable is on Sunday , we score a couple of quick goals , a few Rangers dying songs , will be too much for the away end. The last old firm game might not be a pretty picture , your club likes to riot on these famous occasions when the whole world is watching .I fear the worst on Sunday .
In theory, he's one of the best refs in the world (so UEFA think anyway) and, as Harry said, fairly unusually, he admitted he was wrong over big calls before - he awarded Rangers a penalty then changed his mind at Hampden which took a LOT of balls - as did admitting he got at least two of the penalty decisions wrong against Celtic at Ibrox. Personally, I think he's quite good (cue my "Thomson is a ****" article on Monday) - every ref in every country has club fans who remember big decisions against them. We, in the UK probably remember Pierlugi Collina as possibly the best ref ever - ask an Italian, though, and they'll tell you that he always had a name in Italy for favouring Lazio (he admitted being a Lazio fan after he retired).
53000 dancing on your grave will be too much , for some of drunk fuelled ugly big bears .At the moment we don' know what will happen to your club before the game , but from where I sit , it dosn't look to hopeful .Hope Celtic play some appropiate music over the tannoy to wind you up !!!!!
