You have nothing to lose but your pension books! Sorry about that. Amazing what people will resort to in order to get attention. But this post is from someone who has supported Saints for best part of 60 years, just to say how pleased I am for the old buggers who have supported Chelsea for decades when they were .. well not as good. Great night for fans who have seen Chelsea rise from a music hall joke to be deserved champions of Europe. To younger readers, enjoy. It's not always this good!
Thankfully I'm old enough to have experienced what it was like when we were fairly ****! Sitting in the Shed End watching bore draws against the likes of Ipswich (who were actually good to be fair) on a frosty afternoon! Wouldn't change it for the world because it makes you appreciate winning it a whole lot more. Thanks for the good wishes though lambo, I'm sure the older generation who watched us get relegated etc will appreciate it
Great post mate! Believe me, I was going when we were "well not as good". It was much easier to be a Chelsea fan then. Our expectations were shall we say...not so high!
I happen to be one of those old buggers Lambo! Its what makes being a Blue special! There are some who would say we've got no history! Well as far as I'm concerned Music Halls are all part of history!! Thanks for your good wishes! The Chelsea pensioners will be running about like 2 year olds today!
This Chelsea Pensioner is a 50+ years supporter, and thought I would never see this day. You really do need to experience the lows before you fully appreciate the highs. Wasn't around for the Music Hall days, but was there for the Stones and Kings Road dollies.
