Apparently, we are after Nicky Bailey.
His Mrs has tweeted that they are heading back to London, and that he has a choice from 3, which would almost certainly put yourselves in the frame.
Would you welcome him back (as long as he promises not to take penalty's)?

One is definitely Southend, as confirmed by Phil Brown. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Palace was one either.

I'd love him back, but I just cant see CP going in for home. Plus the wedge he was on at boro was almost double what our highest earner probably receives, so imagine he is out of our price range. I'd love him back though, and back in the centre.

Would take him back if we played him as an attacking forward, I would usually have him as a defensive midfieler but with Hughes and Gower and Hollands (who i think can still do the step up). As an attacking midfielder as he know he can hit it, he can spray it around the field. We would end up selling Stephens now though if we got Bailey, or send him on loan hoping that he grows in a player and we take him back twice as good.

If the Wall are talking to Nicky about a contract then you can bet he is within our price range..... the Wall aren't going to be paying their players much different to us. Would I have him back...?.... he can play Defensive Mid/Centre Mid/Left Mid/Attacking Mid so I guess the answer is yes as he can cover so many positions and allow a change in tactics during a game.

on another matter I have just seen that there is a programme on CH4 on Monday
    now I can't miss that!

By all accounts, he was bang out of shape when we met last season, but assuming he lost a bit of weight, and his wage demands were in the realms of reality, I'd welcome him back.

Old Bailey just signed a 2 year deal with us (on half the wedge he was on at Boro)

Fully commited player and a steal for millwall if he's on cheap wages. Dives around a bit and IMO makes a meal of when he thinks he's fouled and will stay down until the ref blows up or it goes out. However he is a tough player and a cannon of a shot on him. Would have taken him but clearly he didnt want our wages if we bid for him, if that's true it's a sad sign that we get outbid by millwall (no offence TC) All the best to Bailey though and as long as he doesnt score against us I wish him all the best <cheers>

No offence taken Ted - sounds like your owners are cutting the cloth accordingly (which is a good thing IMO)

I didn't see much of Boro last season. Does he still hold his face and roll around when an opponent comes close to him?

Good signing for Millwall. They say never go back.

Hope he remembers his Swindon penalty technique if Millwall end up in a shoot out ;)

Oh will you lot Boo Bailey on his return to the valley? Lots of people on the fb group calling him scum nd a traitor and don't realise that it's a job, I would happily leave Tesco to work for sainbury's, he's not a charlton fan and as commited as he was I don't see a problem him joining Millwall.

Why booooooooooo him? It's not as though he left us to go to Millwall, he left because the club was selling its best players to try to stave off administration. He didn't really want to leave us at all, and was a committed player.
