just seen the official confirmation on sky transfer news and MOTD page on FB. It can't hurt to have more numbers going forward as when Vardy and Ulloa were out of form we really struggled. Vards, Leo, Kramaric and Okazaki is good strength in depth in that area now

Good signing, hardly out of the blue though! Didn't we put a bid in last year? He's scored plenty of goals in the Bundesliga and internationally, so it;s a fair bet he may be able to do so in the PL too. Sounds very like a Japanese version of Vardy, though I hope this doesn't suggest that Vardy could be off!

Good player but that's a hell of a lot of money for a 29 year old.

4 good options upfront, all will play a large role this season.

If it generates a significant amount of money from Asia sponsors it isn't.

Stringer, who only just has a basic command of English has followed him on twitter, which is all in Japanese <laugh>

As long as hes held to the same standard as the rest of the players, then thats fine in my book.

We probably would have said a similar thing about Ulloa this time last year (I know he wasn't quite that old, but you know what I mean).

I think everyone is forgetting about David Nugent

He isnt first choice but proved he still has a role here

Definitely the end of the road for Chris Wood

We just need a centre half, winger and a midfielder or 2 if Cambiasso doesnt sign

Kramaric, Okazaki, Ulloa, Vardy and Nugent.... We now have some very good options up front.

I think Wood could be off to Wolves.

I´m hoping AK is a regular next season because he really does know how to finish, but he needs a good run in the team. I think he couls get between 15 & 20 goals for us next season.

Okazaki knows where it is too. I´ll be interesting to see how he gets on as the prem is abit quicker than the Bundes liga. He´s ave´s about 1 goal in 3 games.

How much was it as I can't see any fee announced anywhere - we bid £8M last year but that was in the Jan transfer window and when Mainz didn't have any replacement.

They signed someone new and he had only 1 year left on his contract so can see the price being much lower.

Ive heard £7m, its not overly much for someone who could help us stay in the league if he can score goals, maybe they could have got someone else with similar ability cheaper, but they wouldn't have met the asian quota. As eastern players go, there aren't many better around.

Soccer news.com/premiership transfers says €10 million, so that would be 7.1 million pounds.

... it's not about the money money.... could be a bargain at that price... how old is Ramos? United apparently offering £35 M ... not making a comparison ability wise ... but if age is a parameter...
