Aw the way down through Battlefield, up past the monument, down through Shawlands, into the Shaws through the Pollok Park, through (the then) the Pollok centre, up to NItshill, on to Barrhead and they were still running.
It wasn`t past the monument, it was round and round it several times, speeded up with Benny Hill music playing in the background. Oh, the memories - I used to live about two minutes walk from the monument .... or 13 seconds at benny hill speed.
