Over the whole season? - No, not this season. Not next season either. Failing a tragedy, I predict that Schumacher will never beat another team mate over a whole season in F1 - unless he starts pulling some of those old strings and people start singing his old tune…
He was always hard on his tyres, and liked to drive the car in a way that isn't as easy now, so its going to be a struggle. Saying that, I'd love (despite not being a great fan of him) for him to have a stunning season, and to have truly adapted to the new F1 cars. The fact that at his age he can still compete shows what a class act he is/was.
I'm a bit surprised at how many people believe he won't beat Rosberg! I remain confident that he will be much better this season.
Rosberg in today's car and under today's rule is a better driver. I had Rosberg to beat Schumi last year too. Granted not even I expected that spanking!
Schumacher does make F1 what it is. It would have been great if he stayed at Ferrari for 2007 and 2008, against Hamilton when he was at his best, thats what we all wanted to see. BUT, I think one more season like last year, and he has to give up his seat. He has so much reputation as a 7x world champion, and he's throwing it away by losing to someone much younger. No offense to Schumacher fans, but, last year they and he used the excuse that the car wasn't right for him all season, which I think is a pretty poor response. This season we see Schumacher and Rosberg have similar driving styles and preferences, so it should be evenly matched, and Schumacher has had a year to get back to racing in F1. I agree with Eddie Jordan on the matter that he is just a bit too old for racing now, the fitness levels are much higher, and younger drivers are finding it easier to cope
Last year was a reality check for the blinkered. The poll demonstrates that most people who might previously have worn the prescribed blinkers have had the sense to take them off. Then again, I hear that some still have faith that the Earth is flat. - They also ignore overwhelming evidenceââ¬Â¦
