Now as I dare to believe that another season in the Prem beckons, who for you is the player of the Season? I know this is a tough one and I've been mulling this over for quite a while. For me, it's a tie between LEEEEEON and JOEY, ( I can't seperate them ). Both have grafted, fought and never taken a step back in midfield and I know from their consistent performances, they are both admired around the Leagues. So your thoughts please guys.
Michel Vorm for me, followed closely by Sigurdsson even though he's only been here a few months, and also Steven Caulker - incredible he's only 20 years old.
Very tough one .... but Leon for me he came up with us then left and quickly realised his mistake so returned and is the linch pin of our midfield and how Rogers wants us to play.
This may sound daft to some but i will go for Gylfi, without his goals we would be in the relegation zone. Vorm has tailed off as the season has gone on and been responsible for some soft goals, first half of the season though he was the best keeper by a country mile in the prem league and also gained us points by his performances. Another contender for me is Ash williams, apart from a few games recently he has been consistant all through the season and has hardly put a foot wrong.
vorm for me for some outstanding saves and clean sheets.........RU...siggs for his goals that has been a major factor getting us the points we have... biggest disappointment.....sinclair and his lack of direction at goal....RU ...danny ...again for a poor goal record having been the main striker....
Vorm has trailed off for me. Does not command his area nearly enough and a top keeper would have prevented both goals at White Hart Lane by punching out the crosses. Still a great signing though. Danny Graham has done great in his first proper Prem season in reaching double figures (contrary to what the resident troll says) but isn't prolific enough to warrant player of the season. Has to be Siggy. As mentioned on MOTD he is the 'jewel in the crown' for Swansea. Of the non-loan players it's a difficult one but I suppose Leon would be in there as he rarely has a poor game. Dyer's had a good season too. Two disappointments for me: (1) Dobbie not being given a real chance to prove himself and (2) Sinclair's ineffectiveness at this level.
you see lads the kangaroo muppet just cant resist having a dig. i do believe i have answered the question in my opinion so what has it got to do with an idiot like you. grow up son ffs....
But DG has scored the same amount as Hernandez, the same guy that scored 15+ last season. Can't be that bad.
It's got to be Leon everything comes through him, without him playing we seem to be a bit lost. I can see why people are going for siggy but he has been here only half the season, so think in second would go for vorm as he has been there every step of the way. Joe Allen gets a mention here as well as he is the player who has surprised me the most, he has made the step up admirably
Jack ash- How many games has Hernandez started then ? I would like to add that DG has scored far more goals than Micheal owen this season
Manchester United have scored more than twice as many goals as us too . You'd have to come up with a formula to compare Graham to anyone . You might have to do a bit of searching norway to find a striker in the Premier League that's scored 35% of a teams goals , none from the spot ..
NJ, couldn't tell you mate. But I'm not complaining at the lack of goals DG has scored lol (Not saying you are btw). For me, Danny has been great for most of the season. Okay, he hasn't scored millions of goals, but 10 isn't bad for a first timer in the Premier League. And as Cracker mentioned above, 35% of the entire sqauds goals isn't a bad return for £3.5million.
To be honest, I would not nominate anyone because they have all contributed greatly as a team in their different ways. We have long clarioned the fact that we do not possess brilliant individuals and we certainly have no super stars. We have achieved our success as a TEAM and I feel that a special award should be made to the squad to recognise that fact.
Ivor, your on a roll today, another top post. Guess your right though. Each and every player has played their part. 10 Premier league goals Valley.
