With Ojo out for a while now and Piazon and Ayite both out as well, I'm hoping this provides a chance for Jordan Graham! Out of the three attacking midfielders signed on transfer day he was the one I was most excited about but seemed to be behind Mollo and Ojo.
What a contrast to an injury free last season. We now have four players - Ojo, Piazon, Ayite and Cairney - on the long term sick list. And last night Fonte didn't look fit. No excuse for the penalty obviously but apparently he was playing despite a 'dead leg' from the Forest game. Just on Ojo. According to twitterites his loan deal included a guarantee insisted on by Liverpool that he play a certain number of games - the speculation is 75%. If true it could explain why Graham hasn't featured.
It's something I brought up before the QPR that Graham seemed to have been sidelined, like you I was expecting him to be in before Mollo & Ojo. I was moaning at the number of midfielders we were getting in, instead of getting marquee strikers in, looks like the clubs crystal balls were clearer than mine, as we are almost down to the bare bones. I'm still puzzled why we brought in Ojo as we should have been talking a player like Adeniran into staying, who could do the same job.
So, Ojo joins Piazon in being out till the New Year. http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/spor...s/fulhams-liverpool-loanee-sheyi-ojo-13716685 This news got me thinking about Cairney. Before the QPR game the Gaffer said of his injury, “There exist more optimistic and less optimistic views. At this moment I cannot give you any new information.” Wish the Club would come clean and explain exactly what Cairney's problem is - at this rate we won't see him until the New Year either.
Never good to see a player injured. However, at least we have Mollo and Graham to cover - signing all those wingers is looking a quite smart at the moment!
