Andy Murray once climbed Mt. Everest in 15 minutes, 14 of which he was building a snowman at the bottom.
Maybe a bit harsh hoping he dies. I'm just thankful he's not English, if he was I'd be hanging my head in shame. What an embarrassement to Scotland. Perhaps this is the reason the forum is so quiet today.
I agree in part. It bemuses me seeing and hearing a load of middle class English ****s eating their strawberries, sipping their Pimms supporting a Scottish chap who just happens to detest the very people who support him.
I watched an interview with Mark Petchy last night. Petchy said that Murray is in an unbelievable position at the moment, he's got be beat (going by the seeds) 2 multiple slam winners to win his first major. Fed had to beat Mark Philippoussis to win his first slam, Nadal had to beat Mariano Puerta to win his first and Djokovic had to beat Jo Winston Donga to win his first slam, all of these opponents had never won a slam previously, but Murray has to beat 2 of them in normal circumstances to win his first slam. The consistency at which DjokoFedNad operate and longevity displayed is phenomenal, only one guy has won a slam apart from these guys since 2006 (DelPotro) Murray will need a slice of luck to win one, the US could be it though, he's got a good record there and it's his favourite tournament.
