Manchester United have condemned an "unwarranted attack" on executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward, after fans were filmed throwing flares at his home. Some of the Old Trafford faithful have been disappointed by the club's performance in the Premier League this season, with some directing their ire towards Mr Woodward over his dealings in the transfer market. The anger of one mob boiled over on Tuesday evening, when a group of hooded figures were seen in social media footage chucking red flares over the gate of his home in Cheshire.
FFS - I'll say what I said on the General Matchday thread last night. From what I saw of the video, unless anything else has come to light (excuse the pun) they threw ONE flare. So do we apply more media, company (Man Utd) and police time, as well has public outrage at protecting millionaires than anyone else. If that had been on a council estate, it would have been sorry the police are busy right now, they will be with you as soon as possible, probably tomorrow morning. I think the last firework display from November 5th to December 31st went on for longer, nigh on two fooking months, scaring the shhite out of everyone's pets. Thugs turned up....and pressed the intercom, he wasn't home...it would have been a non story apart from the flare. How did they even know they were all United fans, were they all wearing Maguire shirts with number 5 on the back.
A club statement added: "Fans expressing opinion is one thing, criminal damage and intent to endanger life is another. There is simply no excuse for this. "We know that the football world will unite behind us as we work with police to identify the perpetrators of this unwarranted attack."
When they finished filming the camera span around real quick to show a crusty jizz stained 80’s wallpaper border. Defo Manu fans mate. Possibly welsh
So out of interest what was the criminal damage? and who's life was endangered, the fooker wasn't home!
