Posted on the BBC website back in February. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/scotland/26159324 Referee Steven McLean explains handball rule Scottish referee Steven McLean speaks to BBC Scotland's David Currie about interpreting the handball rule.
Events in the cup semi-final and the reaction (and lack of reaction) by the SFA ruling bodies indicate that every sane person knows that the Football Authorities act in a complete total and partial way towards Rangers/Sevco or whatever name , and in as bias a way as possible against Celtic. There is no need to go into all the details of the tricks and new rule making, the strange and unethical terms of reference for LNS. The five way agreement and the authorities doing their damnest to have the body of the dead club back into the SPL. Now that's a little bit of one side of the bias in Scottish Football. The other side is not only the decision by McLean and at least two of his little helpers, their couldnt decide after obviously interviewing them , if these three had actually seen the deliberate hand ball or had an Orange March passed through their line of vision. I don't any fair and impartial governing body would worry what excuse the ref and his men made. Its obvious to all asunder that this was real howler of a decision and that none of these 3 men were fit and competent people to referee. The only way Scottish referee and Scottish Football in general could escape with any integrity is for McLean Muir and the linesman to be demoted to a lower grade of referee preferably permanent, but at least for one season.
