Seriously when are some so called Liverpool fans going to stop worrying about that lot down the road? If they wanted to sign Messi, so what.

They needed a keeper, so signed one. The other two will add nothing to there squad.

Kenny and Daniel have specific targets in mind, but unlike some won't be held to ransom for them. Wickham £13 million!!! Jones £19 million!! Makes Henderson seem a bargin in my eyes. Why should we pay over the odds for ordinary, like season's past? We also thanks to the old regime, have a number of squad players on fat wages, happy to gather splinters..Moving them will be like shifting a fat lass from a cake shop.

Plus one fact all are missing, the transfer window in Europe isn't open yet.

So stop the doom and gloom, would you rather Kenny took his time and got it right. Or rushed in and bought ****.

Also gotta think, we don't have any European football, so it will be that much harder to entice players. We have to sell a project, an idea, and more importantly want players who want to be Liverpool players not just here for $$$$. Would some of us have been happy if we had Marveaux? I know I wouldn't be and would gladly hold out for something better.

Absolutely agree! There's so much negativity going on around here I was beginning to think most of the Liverpool fans had been infected by the WUM bug.

Liverpool do things their own way, and if Kenny and Comolli say there is still plenty of signing left to do this summer then I trust them, and there will be further signing.

People get far too carried away with the red tops and I wish we'd stop taking everything they say as truth.

I completely agree, until they strengthen their glaring position of weakness, then I'm not worried in the slightest who or what they've signed.

Why would signing two good players not improve our squad regardless of whether they play in the position(s) that most needs strengthening?

A squad is more than just your first 11, teams have backup players.

And you call us stupid <laugh>

Jesus H...jimslow, did someone help you with that answer? Once again you try and move the goalposts to suit your argument, typical brainless manc. Vidic,Ferdinand,Smalling and even Brown are better than Jones so how has he improved your squad? Giggs,Nani and Valencia are better out wide than Young..So again how has he improved your squad?

Once again epic fail, but given your past posting history should realise you can't answer a question..unless its written for a two year old.

United Wingers before Young were Valencia, Giggs,Park and Nani.

We now have Valencia, Giggs, Park, Nani and Young- exactly how has the squad not improved ? It may not have improved the first team but when you add quality to the squad of course it improves it

Fairly simple answer to this. Giggs is 37 and hasn't played wide for about three seasons. Ergo, Young being a predominantly left side wide player improves the squad.

Brown is leaving. Ferdinand has been struggling with injuries for the last three seasons. Ergo, signing Jones, who is obviously the best young centre half prospect in the premier league, improves our squad.

    It really is very simple.

It depends what you define as a young centre half. I say any centre back under 25 is considered young, as they generally peak from 26-32, unlike forward/attacking players who peak earlier.

Taking that into consideration, at the moment Djourou, David Luiz, Micah Richards and Smalling are all better prospects than him.

You mean Daving Luiz, that international centre half who cost ten of millions? That 'prospect'.
Richards has been around a while now and has stalled in his progress massively. Not only that he plays right back for City. Smalling wasn't available as we already have him. Djourou, well this is my opionion but I don't rate him at all. He ain't that good.

Jones was coveted by ourselves, yourselves, Arsenal and Chelsea and he is an automatic pick at England U21 level.

I don't get why this is even an argument, getting players of this OBVIOUS quality into our squad improves it. End of. Anyone who has seen Jones play will know this.
