This is just proof of what we've known all along, the English FA are xenophobes. Its okay to ban a latin American Dago for 8 games, but when it comes to a foemer England captain, half that is adequate when the crimes are exactly the same. What do you expect when the English game is run by chimpanzees?

Most expected this verdict especially after he announced his retirement a few days earlier.

 

think he will play against Arsenal then start the ban, be interesting to see if he misses the 2 games against us, more than likely I guess depending on a successful appeal or not. he always usually plays a blinder against us at SB and if Valencia and Young are avalable then I fancy our chances this season.We will see

16 match ban

 

The reason Rat face got an 8 match ban was he kept saying it, JT said it once so got a 4 match ban.

 

They missed the bit about sleeping around and having his England captaincy stripped but the knives are out for good ol St Terry.

gives the impression few in football are on terrys side even members of his own team.

Maybe his position in the england squad was untenable because nobody wanted to line up alongside him.

 

And Suarez kept denying it and saying he used it in a "conciliatory way" only to later admit he was using it to wind Evra up. He also repeatedly changed his story about what he actually said. At least Terry admitted they were having an argument from the start and was clear about the words he used.

In fact, this should help satisfy the scousers whining about the differences between the FA and the court system - the courts will regularly give lighter sentences for individuals who admit their offence rather than those who continue to claim they didn't do it and change their story under questioning.

P.S. If Terry doesn't appeal then the fourth game of his ban will be vs us at The Shed. Not sure if that's good or bad - remember him giving us a very nice assist in the game at OT last season
