According to the Nostradamus of the BBC the three clubs on 38 are all going to take points on Sunday and he predicts a 3-0 at The emirates!
Given that us and the North East are desparate for points and playing WBA/Saints/QPR and Wigan are at the Emirates against a hungry Arsenal he is not exactly sticking his neck out with those predictions. I seriously hope he is correct as I don't want to be sitting watching the results tick through next week in the knowledge that we could go down if we lose.
i think Lawro likes us now, there's definitely been an upturn in the nature of his comments unfortunately, he rarely gets the prediction correct
Come on! We can do this! It is still just about in our hands. We have the players to beat WBA, we do! Please, please, please! We need this result!
Just read Lawro's appraisal, think he's made a good point about West broms experimentation. I saw they used a back 5 last week and craig dawson who's been on loan came straight into the side. It has to be an opportunity to take advantage of the make shift full backs if he goes for that again.
Wigan will get thrashed by Man City and then by Arsenal. Confidence at a new low, Villa will put the nail in the coffin with a Benteke double. You heard it here first.
To be fair to Lawro, at least he has attempted a reasoned analysis and not gone for his usual non sequitur prediction. Lawro's predictions overall are simply related to how he views the skills of the players - he doesn't assess teams (this week aside). He sees our players as, frankly, rubbish, and therefore we lie at that relative level in his table. He doesn't dislike us per se, any more than he dislikes Swansea. At least that's my view. I think if we stay up and Hughton makes just one or two signings, like RvW, where people say "wow, how did Norwich sign them", we will see Lawro, potentially embarassingly, predicting us to win far more than we expect to. That's how I think he works.
for the record, merson on SSN has predicted a 1-1. he's also predicted man united beating swansea 5-0 that's a bold one, suspect they might be in party mode (united)
What is he doing that we dont have out of interest? When I have seen him he can run with the ball after breaking up play
He is like a pacey version of bradders that can pass. His passing is awesome, seriously getting the wingers in play at an advanced position with pin point passing. Also knows when to hold on to it and not give it away. He would fit in well with us.
Yeah, I just fear Brighton might well get promoted and we won't get a chance to sign him. Nice to see Wilbraham getting a run-out in the play-offs, even if it is due to a serious injury.
