Delusional!! The only premier league they deserve is in Afghanastan, less obnoxious is what one might find of a stinking odor under ones shoe!!!
It's inevitable that they will be in a premier league within a year. The Skrill Premier when they flop back out of the league!
We have been here before. They will probably have successive promotions, have a couple of seasons in the sun before going bust for the 4th time and plunging down the divisions, leaving local businesses and traders in carnage once more. Until and unless they realise their dream of a new stadium (a dream that has been going since the 1950's BTW), they cannot sustain their pretentious illusion of being a "big club".
But.... Don't you think we want them in the same Div as us so we can win 4-0 home and away....?? I'll get my coat..........
They believe themselves to be the biggest club in Div 2 and Div 1 - hence they believe they will "piss these leagues". But they forget that they were going to "piss this league" when they fell into the pub football league and It's taken 5 season to piss it! They might do Ok in Div 2, but they will struggle to get out of Div 1. Will need a whole new squad of players and they will be stuck with The Kennel as they have no assets and unless they jump into bed with a local property developer, they have no chance of a new ground. But it would be good to play the gypo's again - even if it does getting your head kicked in again!
Fair play to them, their form has been immense the last couple of months... and why not have ambitions. I think when the Pozzo's came in, we were all looking at Udinese and thinking why can't we grow and maybe aim for Europe. They would have to have a realistic time frame, and their infrastructure needs a lot of improvement, by why be in football if you cannot dream and aim high? Saying that... obviously I don't want them to, but I do miss the rivalry compared to these fake rivalries we seem to have for a season or two since they're gone.
I do miss the rivalry but I can't say I miss the matches with them. The levels of hatred on display were genuinely shocking.
As much as I hate to give them any credit, this is a smart move: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26575873
