Sky sports advise we have accepted a 3.5m bid from Swansea for DG !!! I cannot believe we would even consider such a joke offer. Come on Watford get your act together and don't accept. We need to hold out for at least 5m !!
Why do we always accept such stupid offers for our top players year after year ?
    Grrrrrrrr

Disappointing as I feel we could have got more TBH in a bidding more.

Not the millions some expected but reckon 4 with some add-ons etc.

Has DG agreed terms yet ? there may still be time for someone else to make a better offer!
If this goes through Uncle Baz goes down in my estimation:(

I did think that we would take anything from £3.5 upwards. It would be nice if we were in a position to be able to turn these offers down, but the sad truth is, that we are not.
Does anyone know what percentage would go to Carlise?

For example If the geordies offered 4M they know they would get him and save themselves 1m (in the shane long option)

I believe the fee to Carlisle is 15% ... we really needed this to go to a bidding war !

    How does that work Norway?

All clubs now know that we'll accept £3.5m, we could have held out for much more. Really disappointed in the club if this is true.

Also hi, I decided to move over :)

Gutted he has gone so cheaply. Not sure his next move will be worth so much so a sell on clause may not be great? We'll have Scott Sinclair tho :p

Hopefully the money we get IF this is all true is 3.5 million up front rather than all the silly installment stuff because that would increase Malky's chances of getting money to spend.

Sorry guys that you could be losing one of your assets to us, but the deal is not done until both clubs officially announce it, that is the problem sometimes you have a great player and he gets pinched from you by teams that have the ability to take him, if we didn't go up it would probably be us losing players as well.

I wish you the best of luck for next season and replacing your player.

Welcome Goldie was hoping for more too ! was working on the premise if another club offered same or better amount ,or improved sell on clauses etc then it may sway a decision! their way , Guess its upto Danny to say yes or no now!,He might wish to wait and see if the geordies come for him!

    Thanks.

I have no problem with him going to any Premier League club, Brendan Rodgers' Swansea included. My anger is directed towards our perennially-bankrupt-excuse-for-an-owner's incompetent handling of player transfers. Even if Malky's aim was to sell early, buy early, we would easily have been able to drive the price up further if he hadn't advertised in flashing neon lights two weeks ago that we are actively looking to sell.

This club's best hope is that he is due to take part in negotiations with a player from Libya or Germany over the next few weeks.

He was always going to leave, and most likely to yourselves, QPR or Newcastle. It is the fact that it was looking like a bidding war was on the cards and let's face it, we really need the money. Even if another club comes in now, we will never get higher than £3.5m for a guy who is a few years off his peak age, is the championship's top scorer, and is clearly better than both Mackail-Smith and Morison. I for one am excited that he'll be playing in the league he deserves to be in.

Basini in danger of flogging the club's most valuable asset with all the acumen of Del Boy selling cutlery out of a suitcase down the market

off twitter Kinda says it all!

Good luck to DG wherever he ends up! as Jager says until its on both clubs official websites things are not set in stone ! but it doesnt look good!
I think Qpr would have been a better move for DG than swansea!
