I'm getting more frustrated with the way our great team is heading and fear this coming season is going to be the most difficult yet. I'v been following WFC since the early eighties and our team during the GT years was without doubt the best I've known, Oh for the likes of a Porter, Callaghan, Jackett, Blissett & Barnes to terrorise defences again . The steadying iinfluence of McClelland and Terry and not forgetting Coton in goal. Rick Holden, Worrell Sterling on the wings and Maurice Johnson scoring regually in front of the Vicarage Rd terraces... Balmy nights watching famous victories against Chelsea and our venture into Europe against Kaiserslauten and Sparta Prague are just a few of my most memorable matches I attended Oh sorry got a little carried away then ... Can't help but remember the good times and watching quality players wearing the famous gold jersey's Wouldn't it be great to see a team like that again ? Full houses at he vic and making it a fortress it used to be ? I know you can't turn back the clock but I just wish we could put together another group of players who entertained week after week and not them them go for stupid money. Sorry but just had to get that off my chest. I will also support my home town club no matter where these next few years take us but it's going to be a long bumpy ride and we will come through this mess in the end. COYH
