"It's typical when both teams are struggling - players are frustrated".

What a fool. Justifying such behaviour is unconscionable.

So,if a bunch of yobs decide to have a punch up on Wind Street on a Saturday night, that's O.K. then, acceptable behaviour, getting rid of their frustrations.

    "Yeh,well,judge,like,we wuz only frusrated like,innit".

"But I think it shows the passion and how much they want to win".

Wrong. What it shows is that a bunch of so called elite players have no control over their actions. Appalling behaviour.

"Yeh,well, judge, like innit,we wuz only expressing our "passion" when we kicked that geezers head in". We just wanted "to win" the altercation".

"They're going to get situations where you're angry and these things happen".
Sigurdsson has just disappeared off the planet as far as I'm concerned spouting such nonsense.

"You see Judge Judy,we wuz "angry",and these things "happen".

If Monk doesn't condemn his players for their behaviour, both on and off the pitch,he will be failing in his duty.

Anger management courses for the lot of them.

A hefty fine in the millions, should focus the Club's attention on this crass behaviour.

    Storm in a tea cup!

Perhaps you should have concentrated on the following instead of rambling on about fining the club millions for a little hand bags that happens on the field practically every game?

The players have sorted it out, nothing major happened."

Also the argument was apparently started by the villa player, perhaps he should be given the death sentence for that?

    That's it,brush it under the carpet,somebody else's fault,we didn't start it,etc.
Irrelevant who started it,just walk away. That's what mature grown ups would do.
Last season the Club received the most red cards, seems no lessons have been learned.
Ill disciplined rabble, and I'm not surprised to see you defending their behaviour.

A £5 million fine should prevent such behaviour from further sullying the Club's name.

Can I ask what planet you are on this week? So what punishment for the villa player? In terms of red cards, don't let the truth get in the way, do you work for the Fail by any chance? I ask you are you really a Swans fan at all, looking at the bullshit above it doesn't appear to be anymore

From what little I have seen of this incident, the Villa defender seemed to lose it completely. Our players seemed to be remarkably restrained under the circumstances.

Same planet as you, pal, only I can see through both my eyes, whereas you have trouble seeing through one.

So,the Swans' didn't have the most red cards last season then. Funny,I read it somewhere,SWEP,i do believe.

Sigurdsson was being quoted, and my thread is based on that. He plays for The Swans',last I heard, and not Villa.

    Where is "the bullshit"?

Your reaction to this thread is oh so predictable, trotting out the customary are you a real fan nonsense.
I'm only surprised that you haven't accused me of "Monk bashing". <laugh>

The bullshit is your lack of research into the red cards by the club last season. You really don't know what happened in the tunnel, and neither do I to be honest, but the press is saying that the villa player is the one who caused this. As for the head butt, have you seen the alleged incident? Put it this way it wasn't one!

I only comment on the crap you put on the thread, I don't go bashing you out of nothing. But looking at your comments from the perspective of a neutral I would bet they'll be thinking is this a swans fan. That is why I ask you as you have nothing positive to say of the club.

And vetch I come and go on this site, think I've been absent for a couple of months, so I don't really give a **** what you or others think of me, I say what I think without the bullshit

Comparing the situation on Saturday to a Wind Street punch up is inaccurate and facile, Lib. As someone who has worked in criminal justice I can tell you that alcohol is ALWAYS involved on Wind Street, and altercations start over virtually nothing. Not so on Saturday.

Though nobody can condone what happened, Micah Richards clearly lost it - he's playing for a huge Club that's in serious trouble and the pressure got to him. Fernandez did tilt his head towards the Richards but if you've been on Wind Street you'd know that wasn't a head-butt. Richards had already lost it before then anyway. This is THE season when survival means the big money will kick in and there's a lot at stake. Villa getting relegated is almost unthinkable isn't it?

I think Sigurdsson was just trying to pour oil on troubled waters instead of petrol. He has a point too. I'm not convinced that he was condoning it, just saying that the stakes were high and the pressure gets to some.

But if you analyse this it's pretty obvious that some of the Villa players were waiting for the Swans players who had gone to the away end to thank the fans for making the trip. If someone starts a physical altercation I'd expect our players to defend themselves - that's allowed on Wind Street by the way.

I suspect that if the FA is to issue a fine it will be to both sides because they always do but I'm far from convinced the Swans players are to blame here.

Who's brushed it under the carpet , it's widely been reported by the media , the Club has commented on it , the FA are aware of it unless of course you mean Ban Ki Moon who failed to mention it this morning in his weekly address to the UN security council then you may have a point .<laugh> As someone posted

Richards was totally bonkers with his original reaction to the play , but Fernandez did head butt him seconds later.
When all is said and done I can see both getting a suspension , and that's before they got to the tunnel.

What research do I need to do? SWEP reported it,and I quoted it. It seems that you have a problem with that. Guess what then, that's what it is - your problem, not mine.

I have made no reference to any "tunnel". Perhaps you are getting confused with the movie,The Great Escape, where a "tunnel" did feature, three actually, but who's counting? <laugh>

My thread is a response to Sigurdsson's outpourings.
I saw MOD highlights, and in my opinion,(I know how that grates with people like you),Fernandez head butted the Villa player.
Now,it wasn't a life threatening act,but it showed his complete lack of restraint.

If you think it's "crap" for me to have an opinion on the incident, then bully for you.
Opinions are what this place is supposed to be about, but too many here try to stifle them.

I could care less whether you,or fans' of other Club's think I am a "Swans' fan" or not.

So,it's O.K. for you to say what you want, but when I speak,it's "bullshit"?

Time to grow up mister, and realise that there is a world out there, and this is merely a football forum, and matters not one jot.

What happened in the tunnel is an unknown, and I have not referred to it,
What happened on the field of play was seen by many millions.
Fernandez head butted the Villa player. Now you can't dig half a hole, and a head butt is a head butt.
I make no comment on the Villa player, since he has not gone into print on the BBC Sports Site.

So,it's the money's fault then. All this violence can be put down to that.

I have not apportioned blame to either side. I simply responded to Sigurdsson.

The mob,of which you are not a member, have gleefully jumped on my thread, and I'm the villain - AGAIN. <laugh>

    Lucky I've got broad shoulders,and "don't give a damn". <laugh>

That's not going to happen as the villa player already had a yellow card for the incident, and I can't see them doing anything for the head butt that weren't
