There's still a second leg to play. Therefore, there's a chance that Hooper could score 4 goals, making it 4-3 on aggregate, which would progress Celtic through to the next round!
Commons and Forrest posed a bigger threat than Hooper IMO. Scottish Prem football is mid/top table Championship. Plenty of effort, but no finess
As my name suggests I have sympathies for the green half of Glasgow and whilst I thought that Celtic played very well last night they were simply outgunned by a very professional and well-disciplined Juve side. I can't believe that Hooper turned down a move in the belief that he could be part of a Champion's League winning side as this was never going to happen - it would be like one of our players turning down a move in the belief that we would qualify for the Champion's League after our 10 match unbeaten run. Madness. Hooper will have assessed his situation - he gets a CL last 16 tie to showcase himself and will win another medal at the end of the season and then will either negotiate a pay rise and stay with Celtic or look for an offer from the PL. He will have run down another six months of his contract and so can negotiate a better signing on fee for himself whatever decision he takes.
As a footnote, we are talking about a club, a manager and players who, together with their supporters, helped, just months ago, to create a fantastic evening for Adam Drury's benefit match. Do people really imagine that business between the two clubs over Hooper was anything less than cordial, respectful on both sides, and properly conducted?

Agree with this. I grew up, due to family allegiances, supporting Celtic way back, and still look out for them to this day. They met their match, and I'm sure Hooper will have learned from it. Not sure it was him that actually turned down the move, guess we don't know, but I still wouldn't mind him here at a reasonable price. Would prefer Wanyama though. Notwithstanding all that, still fancy this as a signature:
