.By METRO WEB REPORTER - 2nd June, 2012 QPR plotting move for Tottenham keeper Heurelho Gomes QPR are set to offer Tottenham keeper Heurelho Gomes the chance to resurrect his career by making the switch to Loftus Road. .Gomes signed for Spurs in June 2008 from PSV Eindhoven for a reported £7.8 million but has found himself frozen out at White Hart Lane, with veteran stopper Brad Friedel taking over the number one slot. Gomes has made 96 Premier League appearances for Tottenham, but failed to play a single minute of the 2011-12 campaign. The Hoops have been linked with a string of keepers in recent weeks, with Sunderland's Craig Gordon, Ben Foster of Birmingham and Aston Villa's Shay Given also rumoured to be on the club's radar. .West Ham's England gloves man Robert Green is another player believed to be in the frame. The former Norwich star will be a free agent at the end of the month and talks over a new contract with the Hammers are thought to have stalled. I think a lot of the yids fans called him 'the clown'.. I cant remember the last time we had a keeper that can actually control and boss his defenders.We need a keeper to take charge!. A stong character please!
