So we didn’t get the striker big whoop, I would rather keep the money and be content than spend 12 mil on a player we have never heard of unitl yesterday.

Yes you could say we had a list of “linked” strikers and we got none of them, whilst I appreciate the frustration, we could be sitting here with nothing at all except a youtube player.

Fact is the little we spent we have spent well and all the players have potential. Im sick and tired of people moaning “ive been lied too” , come on man get a grip he hasn’t slept with your missus, just might have ate your pies.

People state the obvious , “oh Pardew is Ashelys muppet”, whilst i agree, its Ashley that holds to the money , and its like when you were a kid and wanted your mum to buy you sweets yet it all depended on how they felt. Sadly Pardew is in the same boat, he can ask but no guarantee he will get. Well clearly he didn’t .

But look on the brightside you miserable swines we a lot more flair in the team than last season, bags of potential and personally some gems in the likes of cabaye , santon etc.

We are unbeaten after 3 games despite being again cannon fodder for the press (thanks joey) , but lighten up this is Newcastle United, we are toon fans , and despite the rocky terrain , can’t help but jump and on and join the rollercoaster.

Get behind your team as you have always done, things are not as bad as you think.

i'm excited by the team and people do complain about the prices in football, we spent 18m on owen, remember, what a load of ****e that was, we aren't going to just buy wins, if people can't see the potential and talent in the team now especially if you compare it with what we've had in the last few years, then it doesnt matter who we have really, even if got the likes of tevez, rooney etc etc if we didn't win, we'd say they were ****E, it all boils down to winning and the passion of the newcastle fans is a hard thing to match up with at times and remember alot of the players we've sold on were unknowns that became gems, the atmosphere can be good to propagate potential, just whinging all the time shows you're already accepting bad things happening really, its much harder to do something wrong when everyones positive rather than negative.

Am I the only person who hopes that Ruiz flops at Fulham?

Call me bitter all you like.

Agreed. We support the shirt, not the usual fat greedy twats who think they're playing with big boys. They think small therefore they are small. Contrast us with even Liverpool who have had NO cup success for 6 years, yet have ambitious professional owners.

Well only just they had wasteful sons of biatches before , big difference they took em to court to get them out, they are seeing the rewards of making tha push and get the pros in, only now you see the difference.

Agree totally, never thought there'd be so many miserable bastards the window we buy 7 players and generally improve the squad.

    Cabaye > Barton
    Enrique > Santon
    Nolan > Obertan
    Carroll > Ba

I don't believe we have improved the team, on step forward two steps back imo. We could have been so much better. Who is going to be frightened at the thought of our strikeforce.

Had we bought those players on top of keeping our best players then great. But once injuries and suspensions kick in, we do not have the squad depth.

I agree that squad depth is a problem Leazes. Who will be scared of this strikeforce?? Fulham obviously were Best scored 2, Ba set up 1 and also hit the bar. Plenty positives to take from this side!!

To be fair he stayed loyal to Fulham after he said he would join. We offered more money and he turned it down, I have no complaints.

How do you know that's what happened?

I heard we couldn't agree personal terms. In my opinion, we went in with the bid, he saw that we were desperate for him, so he tried us on and requested massive wages. If we accepted, great. If we didn't, he had Fulham to fall back on.

I can't see the reason for him going to Fulham to be purely some moral obligation.
