Wanted Brighton to go into extra time so they would be tired and shagged out after a long squawk for Saturday.

 

Scunthorpe win 7-6 on penalties after a 5-5 draw not a bad result for them

 

I wanted a narrow defeat for them, just enough to see them down about losing their first game. As it is they seem to have been shown up good and proper so now they'll be getting a right bollocking and be looking to make up for it on Saturday rather than just be a bit better.

 

Or they're just not good enough and we should beat them too?

 

Or they played a reserve side?

 

Better than "not bad" considering they were 4-1 down, not to mention 5-3 after 89 minutes.

That's exactly a third of the Championship eliminated in the first round of the cup.

 

Don't think so, looked like mostly a first team to me.
