Not great from Boruc. He posted a picture of the Titanic on his twitter and joked: "I nominate all passengers for the Ice Bucket Challenge" Needless to say, that did not go down well.
*david attenorough voice* A nearby laurab12 uses her natural instinct to detect a Boruc post. She quietly approaches her target, gauging the atmosphere before pouncing on the thread. Its over in the blink of an eye! Forster never had a chance.
Well it won't be that old, as the Ice Bucket Challenge didn't reach the general public's attention until about a few months ago. Being Artur, I'm sure he didn't mean it as anything other than a mild joke, but he chose to do it while representing the wrong city. If any place could be suggested as having the closest association with the Titanic sinking it is Southampton. Around 550 Sotonians died on board that ship, and there was hardly any family who didn't lose a relative, or didn't know someone who'd lost a relative. Artur would do well to pop into the museum while he has the time.
But jokes are supposed to be funny aren't they?....This is just a crass, idiotic comment from someone who really should know better, a bit like the German student I saw in Madame Tussauds laughing at the Stephen Hawking waxwork and shouting "Timmy".
I don't think it's that offensive at all. I think everyone is too thin skinned these days. I've heard a lot worse
Think we've all heard a lot worse, that's not the point. Just shows how bloody ignorant & stupid he is.
Is anyone really that suprised though? And more importantly does anyone think Artur really gives a ****?
To be fair, she only said that it was old, and it is indeed. It was posted on here and discussed around the time Forster signed, if I remember rightly. Godders took particular offence.
I know. Was just making light of the fact she seems to come out of nowhere whenever Artur is mentioned.
Daily record talk sh**e, typical tabloid writing crap. Considering we just said no to independence I'd have thought they wouldn't need to make up crap
I found your joke deeply offensive. I'm offended by any joke about any subject, in general. Including ones about a disaster that happened over a hundred years ago. I do think people work quite hard at being offended these days. I think it's the internet wot does it. Vin
Thoughtless, but if no offence is meant, then none should be taken. How far back do you have to go for a joke...do Agincourt jokes offend people?
Your use of the slang terminology 'wot' is extremely inappropriate and harmful sir. Imagine if i raised an ill disciplined, bratty, idiot child who after seeing your post believed that to be the correct spelling. I have reported you to the cyber police sir and hope you shall be flayed for posting such gratuity online.
Comedians make careers out of being offensive. I'm sure he meant to be funny not offensive. And really, its often the press proclaiming offence on behalf of people who actually aren't usually that bothered. That said, what did he expect in this of all places? The real stupid thing, once again, is anyone using Twitter to say anything more interesting than the fact that he had baked beans for breakfast.
