http://www.theguardian.com/football...ity-sunderland-pantomime-ole-gunnar-solskjaer This is the latest... From a reputable paper, this time.
This is ongoing and he is by no means out of it yet from what I can glean. Papers have to be ready for print earylish, so maybe there has been more activity later last night. The betting should give us a fair picture later on when they settle down.
http://www.theguardian.com/football...ity-sunderland-pantomime-ole-gunnar-solskjaer This, on the other hand, is more positive, although again, as pointed out by yourself regarding the guardian, there are no direct quotes from the man himself.
Fair enough. I hope he comes, I really do; although bookies had him down as odds on favourite for the posts at villa and west brom respectively.
I don't think any of us are in the know, we can scour the message boards and press and come up with just as many answers. It all depends if you like your glass half empty and take the Guardian view Or, half full and take the other view. http://www.footballcourier.com/news...he-only-candidate-for-cardiff/full_story.html http://www.redbluebirds.com/t6256-greetings-from-norway
Have not seen a positive article from the Guardian regarding (VT) Cardiff City, Just look at who has written it and his long standing bitterness towards us.
Problem is we are Cardiff City, we could be top with a 10 point cushion and the press will still lead with a unhelpful story. By the way thanks for your "keep taking the statins" quote, no need to worry your little head about it, I make sure I take mine every night.
Ole is one of those footballers liked by all fans and should have that winning attitude but we are taking a chance so if he does not accept the offer he should do it sooner rather than later. The problem is other names in the betting will cause real unrest and I for one supported Tan regarding Malkys playing style would worry the board will convince Tan to make the wrong choice here. Biesla must be the one if not Ole. jck
I would actually prefer Biesla, but they're obviously very keen on OGS. I think either would be excellent, but it seems clear that he's been advised against coming to Cardiff. I'd like to think that he's persuadable. If he is, I'd say that we have the chairman to thank for that.
All this business about getting advice whether to come to Cardiff or not is pissing me off to be honest. I'd rather go for Bielsa.
OGS is drifting slightly in the markets, but I don't think much money is going down to be honest. Still not out of the running but I would expect to hear soon if he is going to take it, a dithering manager isn't what we want, either you're in or you're not. Lets go get Marcelo
I'd take Hoddle any day - class on the pitch and full of knowledge about the game and the right way to play it. I know he has a bit of a past with that odd religious woman (Eileen somebody) and took a bit of stick at the time, but that had nothing to do with his ability. If we still end up with that prat Sven, I'll really be upset. He is yesterday, and why he's even been considered let alone running second favourite scares the **** out of me.
I have no problem with OGS giving it a lot of thought and needing reassurances before committing. I'm sure he's his own man, but to mull over advice given by mentors is nothing to be ashamed of. Given what happened with Veliknoja and recent events, I think anyone in their right mind would be thinking twice about coming. However, if he does come, I'm sure he'll be totally up for it. He has small kids, doesn't he? Moving from Norway to plonk them here? That's a big deal. But if they announced that Bielsa was to be in charge, I'd be over the proverbial moon.
