Much as they're our promotion rivals, I'm not sure I could wish him on anyone! Some manager in the Scottish league has apparently turned them down, which can't be a good sign for them.
 
The Fulham job is harder. The squad is either too young, not good enough or not right for the league.
Cardiff job is madder. Squad is decent if some appropriate tactics can be applied. However you have to deal with Tan which I reckon could dissuade some.
Going to be interesting watching to see who they appoint and when.
 
Seems as though Cardiff have been in discussion with Roeder for a while, he's been at the last two games, probably for a DoF role. You know the job where you have to deal with others, roeders forte of course.
Could be OGS didn't want to be part of a new structure.
 
Two games ago, if Cardiff had beaten us, they would have gone above us in the table.

I know we're playing really well, but it's clear that things can change quickly in football. I just hope if we do go a few games without a win we'll all be patient.

The other problem with the Fulham job is that Magath brought in a random mixture of players that only he seems to see a use for. Fotheringham? Really?

The new manager has to trust the youth because the rest of the squad is severely depleted, but they aren't good enough yet. But Magath's project hasn't really been given a chance either. I can't see too many decent managers queuing up to take that job. You're pretty much stuck with what you've got plus a couple of loans, and by January (if the new man lasts that long) they could be struggling too much to aim for more than survival.

FFP is going to really shaft Fulham too, as their squad now needs serious money spending on it if they want to get out of this league, but failure to do that would then get even more expensive. I think they're stuck in championship mediocrity for a couple of seasons now.
 
I am very glad Delia and co are running our club rather than selling our soul by making us play in pink shirts for a home game or rename us the Norfolk yellow birds to become more marketable globally.
The Venkies VIncent Tan the permatan twat at Palace the guy that owns Hull Tony Fernandez the Leeds present rent a crook The Glazers etc etc the list of massive Egomaniacs is endless.

The year we won the title with Worthy, Palace bottom of the table in November or something, only for Dowie to turn them around and win the play-offs. Long, long way to go yet and far, far too early to write anyone off - though obviously being so far off the pace it's going to take something incredible for them to have a chance of automatic promotion.

<laugh> I really would love to know why everyone outside of leeds thinks the club is in a bigger shambles than ever but everyone who actually knows anything sees the club as being in a far better state than it has been since before we got relegated from the prem...

I was talking about dodgy overseas investors and the Italian gentleman at Leeds has a bit of form .
I wouldn't want him at Norwich.

I'm not sure whether to read that as you're happy with the current set-up, or that you've become so used to diabolical ownership that anyone slightly better seems like the messiah! Or are you actually as happy with your board as the likes of Norwich, Swansea, and err there must be other clubs with excellent boards? I'm struggling though!

It could be a case of previous diabolical ownership therefore happy with anything that is an improvement, maybe.

But, honestly at first I was not happy with Cellino. Very eccentric and makes decisions very impulsively but he has completely changed the club's mood and everything about it. We should be buying stadium back before the end of the year and we actually have a very young exciting team coming through, he has done some excellent work at Leeds yet still people from outside the club in any direction think its still in a shambles. Make of that what you will, leeds fans blind or rest of football ignorant.

Anyway, don't wanna derail the thread too much.
