it was announced in parliament 15 mins ago that most of copthorne barracks is to be disbanded. is this where town started or played a long time ago.

Although it is only part of it, how much that is no one knows yet, this is a real blow for town as we have already list the prison, a school is closing and services going at hospital. Plus rumours of Doncasters not renewing their lease on Whitchurch road it is not looking good for employement for town.

not forgetting the royal mail sorting office. shrewsbury has had its heart ripped out by this coalition government. i do hope government investment follows. the town cannot survive on shopping centres and out of town retail parks oh and an incinerator.
