it was announced in parliament 15 mins ago that most of copthorne barracks is to be disbanded. is this where town started or played a long time ago.

Plus rumours of Doncasters not renewing their lease on Whitchurch road it is not looking good for employement for town.
not forgetting the royal mail sorting office. shrewsbury has had its heart ripped out by this coalition government. i do hope government investment follows. the town cannot survive on shopping centres and out of town retail parks oh and an incinerator. all these closures and redundancies are bound to have an impact in otely rd.
I knew there was another on the list! All the jobs lost within the last year is a shocker. Even the sorting office won't be able to offer seasonal work to those who need it either.
