Red Bull 1-2 in FP1 but FP2 is where the truth is revealed. Hopefully Red Bull can fight for pole and the win this week because that can cause some chaos!
Has he said something, or do you mean his performance? I think he had significant car issues in FP1, so he's playing catch up with his program in FP2.
Vettel makes mistake on quali simulation run and out of FP2 with damaged car. Should get away without any component changes, but unforced error again.
Hamilton made a error when he locked up he's brakes but luckily for him he had a run off area, loved to of seen Hamilton drive in the 90s or early 00s with no run off areas he be ****ed.
One of the most important aspects of practice is exploring the limits of tyres, chassis and track – as well as oneself. Whilst I also lament the passing of gravel traps and real grass (as do many of the current drivers), the fact is that when dangers are reduced AND there are relatively safe run-offs from which a driver can recover, he or she now has an opportunity (some might even say a 'duty'[!]) to push the envelope even further to more accurately assess all of the above limits at this particular point. Especially since these places are often the most critical corners. What one must avoid is going beyond these limits where it is less safe, since doing so carries a greater risk of damage.
Very impressive from Lewis. We can call this season pretty much over if Vettel drops 10 more points tommorow.
Incredible. Where did that come from? I had already gone for an early punt on Verstappen in the poll which is suddenly not looking like a bad choice either. Providing he doesn’t drive into Lewis of course...
One of those laps you can't but admire. Say what you like about Hamilton but when he pulls a lap like that he is absolutely unbeatable.
I'm sure I heard Vettel say just before the second run in Q3 that he had the faster car. Hmmmm. The world class Bottas 3/4 of a second off Lewis in identical equipment . Hamilton Truly the quickest in F1 history over one lap.
Listen, Lewis can be annoying on camera and out of the car, but make no mistake this lad is Senna-esque on one lap. He’s absolutely pulverised Vettel there. It will be meaningless if Seb beats him in the race but in terms of highlighting their abilities, wow what a lap. You can throw a blanket over P2-5 but HAM is over a third of a second clear of them in a car that doesn’t always perform here.
I think here mate he meant that Lewis was 7 tenths quicker than a world class driver So it was more a Lewis compliment than a Bottas dig (I’m often guilty of that so hands up!)
