Agreed, but for me it might not be a bad idea, as most of my news comes from here or the Beeb website....

This looks identical to the mobile version of the offish, which is easy enough to set up as a permanent link on the iPhone anyway.

Small print, guys. read the small print. You only pay the subscription for the video. Everything else is free, and the app itself is 69p.

You'll get the news sent to you direct then, and for those of you who get the text alerts, this should basically replace that. So instead of 25p per news item, you'll get your news first, for a one off, very small fee.

And no, sadly I don't work for the club. I just don't see why the 'oh, isn't everything a little bit too dear' needs to be thrown out every time the club announces a new service.

I've never managed to get any further into that site than the home page on my iPhone.

The "click here" functions don't work. Every other site I go on seems to function normally. I would like to read the small, medium or even very large print contained therein, so I have to make assumptions based on what they say on the homepage which is £24.99 for 12 months subscription.Doesn't say there that it's only for video.

It's also the first time I've ever commented on the cost of anything on this site to the best of my recollection although I'm open to correction.

    Rant over!

All the small print was reproduced above in Norway's post, sorry... I assumed you'd actually read the post you were commenting on.

This actually is a very good product from the club, i've been waiting for them to get around to this. Using the official site on a mobile browser is ****, while this application has a good response and is easy and quick to use.
