Looking forwards to this one, Hamilton to narrowly beat Rosberg in his home race to retake control of the championship I reckon.
Rosberg to win, just don't think it is right that Hamilton will win in Germany, too many sponsors/politics involved. That would upset many people.
Its a shame there isn't a Argentinian driver for the irony result. Lewis said Nico isn't German, maybe he's Argentinian? Maybe we'll just have to settle for Massa in the Williams
Teams have failed to agree to a delay of the FRIC ban, but we are in the weird situation where the stewards could still rule that FRIC isn't a movable aero device F1 teams fail to agree to delay ban on FRIC suspension "However, with the FIA indicating that it will likely take a 'hands off' approach and not step in to report any outfit running FRIC, the situation will come down to whether or not any team will be willing to protest one of its rivals. One possible scenario is for an outfit to use the Thursday of the event as a test case for the legality of FRIC - as it is the race stewards who have the ultimate say in the legality of components. If the concept is ruled illegal, then FRIC suspension could be removed before first practice begins on Friday. If the stewards disagree with Whiting's view that FRIC is an illegal moveable aerodynamic device, then the way would be left clear for all teams to run it again." So the teams just have to wait for Ferrari to run it and the stewards to give it the ok and then they can all run it again
Gone with Massa. I havent got a clue what's happening with the FRIC but I feel like Williams haven't perfected theirs like Mercedes and Massa is just going to have a great weekend, so him to win.
Really fancy the Williams boys to go well at Hockenheim. Surely a track to suit the Mercedes power trains and the Williams straight line speed is immense. A good qualifying would really set them up well because they will be very difficult to pass. BOTTAS to enter the big time.
They get good heat into the super soft tyres quickly too. I think Williams have a good chance to win the race and get pole if the FRIC ban hurts Mercedes' performance.
Mercedes will restrict the race strategies that can be adopted by drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg in their fight for the 2014 title. Until now, the dominant team has given its driver duo almost free rein to battle for the championship, despite constant speculation that Mercedes and its parent Daimler might prefer to see German Rosberg ultimately triumph. Autosprint now reports that one of the ways Mercedes is moving to demonstrate absolute equality between the pair is to limit them to very similar pit strategies. “The drivers must comply with the same number of pitstops,” said correspondent Alberto Antonini. That aside, the Hamilton and Rosberg camps will be free to wage their battles, even at the risk of some loss of ‘transparency’ as outlined by boss Toto Wolff recently. “As an individual, you cannot dominate alone in motor racing,” Wolff is quoted by Speed Week. “Our position is a testament to how well we work together. “But of course there are areas where you keep certain details to yourself to develop an advantage, and this is also accepted by the team. But it must not have a negative influence on the development of the team,” he insisted. (GMM)
back in 2005 nico said he's not really german or finnish,,,now he's 100% german, but not as german as lewis is british according to him...."I don't think of myself as being Finnish but I don't really think of myself as being a German either. It is not like the Brazilians, who have this big patriotic thing. I don't have that and I guess in a way it's unfortunate.""
same number of pitstops,,,but much longer ones for lewis.i can only remember 1 race this season where nico had a slower pitstop(canada)at all other races lewis has got the slower pitstop.
Erm... does it? I dunno... lol. Anyway... He drives under the Union Jack, so doesn't make a whole ton of difference. Unless he says balls to it and starts racing under the flag of Grenada (which might be better all around), at which point Nico can give him similar poop.
