Martin-Bassong-Barnett-Garrido E. Bennett-Howson-Johnson-Snodgrass Hoolahan Holt Arsenal Mannone Jenkinson-Mertesacker-Vermalen-Santos Ramsey-Arteta Gervinho-Carloza-Podolski Giroud From a neutral perspective this looks like a good chance for a big win for Arsenal with Norwich's recent struggles and Arsenal's new signings in Giroud and Podolski settling in while Gervinho has found his form. Fortunately for Norwich though, it looks like Wilshere, considered a key player for Arsenal, will not be returning to action for another week. Hughton: âWe know we are up against a wonderful team who have added already to what was a very good squad, defensively, they have started the season very well and they are on the back of a good result at West Ham. We certainly know the qualities they have but we have to have our game plan on the day and make it as difficult as we can. Are they title contenders? Yes. Very much so. They have added some real quality and in Carzola they have a player who has started the season fabulously well and who is a real threat for them. I think we expected them to be there or thereabouts and perhaps with the signings they have made, even more so. These tests donât come any bigger. Not only are they a top team but they are a top team in form. They have a great balance between youth and experience in the squad.â Wenger: âItâs not up to him [Wilshere] to know that [he will start]... his job is to play. Players always think they are ready, and when you speak with them six months later and ask âDo you think now you were ready?â, they will say no.â
Chris Hughton takes on talented Frenchman Arsene Wenger in the FA heavyweight division at Carrow Road. 53-year-old Houghton is the real deal and is capable of pushing Wenger, 62, to the limit. An upset may be a real possibility. Not only do Houghton's Norwich have sensational power, they are capable of launching a barrage of attacks from their creative midfield. The other factor working against Wenger is that he may not respect Houghton as a fighter. You can tell that by the trash talk â of which there has been very little. The two fighters have been very respectful of each other and thatâs very unusual for Wenger. In one of the pre-fight press conferences, the Frenchman spoke of his admiration for Houghtonâs straight-forward and hard-hitting captain; âHolt gave us some problems last year, especially at the Emirates, he had a fantastic game there". Arsene Wenger Houghton, meanwhile played down the significance of his recent run of two consequetive knockout defeats; "We are going to have down days and we need to bounce back and carry a threat". Chris Hughton This sure is going to be a great heavyweight matchup, so fill up your Coca-Cola⢠tankards, get your hot-dogs and grab a seat for this smash-and-grab matchup, brought to you exclusively on Not606!
Much better than mine Rubik! My creativity is appalling! Only done this weeks as CS stole the match day thread from me for Drury's testimonial wen though I had already written one!
Between us we've got a good detailed preview and a little nod towards CanariesSoccer's usual threads! High five!
Wonky and Rubik - the matchday special! Gutted though, now at my local cafe. Missed Paul McVeigh by 5 minutes. Had I not written it I would have got here earlier and would have seen him. I blame CS!
I managed to win VIP tickets coutesy of lucozade today so im getting some bags sprted to bring the prawn sandwiches home in. If anyone needs me i'll be in the bar at the huckerby hospitality lol
I spotted this on twitter yesterday and mentioned it on a different thread. Be very aware - prawn sarnies AND Lucozade make you burp and fart like hell! Just so you know "Looks like Beefy has had a stroke of good fortune. Enjoy the hospitality of your hosts, Beef "
I am aware of how much of a jammy **** I am right now. I'm trying to tone it down but it's very hard.
Oh dear, he won't be talking to the likes of us soon! Have a good time, Beefy. Please, please, be a lucky omen and get us three points!
Wish it was Howson and Tettey in midfield not Johnson think Howson has more about him. Also no clue as to why Turner is playing
At least pilks and beno Are in No Barnett in the squad, maybe he is injured. Time to put a shift in Michael turner!
In an odd way, I hope so, because if he's not in the squad because Hughton doesn't want him there, that's far more worrying. Would rather he was playing over Johnson, but the rest of the team is pretty much how I want to see us line up. Turner needs a big game though. Too many more faults from him and the fans won't give him another chance. For HK: 01 Ruddy 02 R Martin 05 Bassong 06 Turner 18 Garrido 04 Johnson 12 Pilkington 14 Hoolahan 17 E Bennett 27 Tettey 09 Holt Substitutes 13 Rudd 24 R Bennett 08 Howson 11 Surman 07 Snodgrass 10 Jackson 16 Morison Surprised to see Rudd on the bench. He wasn't in the second U21's squad, presumably through injury, but he's fit now. Has Bunn missed out often this season?
City fans interviewed outside the ground broke into a rendition of 'On the Ball City'. The ginger, twat, knobhead, ****wit Adrian Durham on talk****E then commented; "Do they still sing that? Jeez no wonder the're bottom". What a cnut On a lighter note the binners lost to an injury time winner ! LOL ....
