    Current Position

This game sees bottom of the table Leicester take on 11th in the table Liverpool with both teams desperate for a win to help push themselves out of positions neither want to be.

    Form

Leicester go into this game in miserable form picking up only 2 points from a possible 24. Their last win was that astonishing 5-3 game against Manchester United which stunned the footballing World. Not only are they winless since then but they've also only managed 4 goals in those 8 games, scoring twice against Burnly in a 2-2 draw and twice at the weekend v QPR in a 3-2 defeat. On the whole, things aren't looking too good for the Foxes at the moment.

Liverpool on the other hand go into this game on the back of a valuable win against Stoke at the weekend, the first time they've won a game in the League since beating QPR 4 games ago. It was also Liverpool's 3rd clean sheet this season, one which they will be hoping to build on over the coming weeks.

    Last time these 2 met?

The last time these 2 met was in 2003/2004 season with the first game being won by Liverpool at Anfield 2-1.

The reverse fixture at the Walkers Stadium resulted in a 0-0 stalemate, something which both teams may not be totally disappointed about this time around given Leicester's struggles and Liverpool's poor run of form.

    Team News

    Leicester
Have no new injury concerns so may field a similar team to that which played against QPR.

    Liverpool
Won't be expected to change much with the defence keeping a clean sheet, a rarity under Brendan Rodgers, while Steven Gerrard may come back into the team at the expense of Luca or Allen. Lambert is expected to continue up top, despite starting midweek last week and at the weekend, mainly due to lack of options with Mario Balotelli still uncertain to be fit for the game.

    Ones to Watch

    Leicester
Leandro Ulloa - the record summer signing from Brighton started life in the Premiership well with his 5 PL goals all coming in his first 5 games, however since then has drawn a blank. His aerial threat may just cause Liverpool problems though.

    Liverpool
Rickie Lambert may finally be showing why Liverpool surprisingly brought him to Anfield. 2 goals in the last week (his first PL and first CL) followed by a vital assist against Stoke mean the boyhood LFC fan is the form striker at the club.

    Prediction for the game

With Leicester's poor form and current league position, Liverpool go into the game as favourites, despite the bad run they were on before the Stoke victory. With both teams struggling for goals, a low scoring game is on the cards.

Wouldn't look past a narrow 2-1 victory for Liverpool.

On thing I find is that for consistency now I expect, no "demand" that glen Johnson be rested after his "wonderful" efforts in the past 3 games as surely he can't turn in again in the next one so soon?

It seems we will be picking a similar team as the last day.

Manquillo and moreno might be looked to here, gerrard is bound to come in.

We need a string of wins before we play the Mancs, we have to have some sort of confidence going into that game.

very true....though there are a few like for the cheslea game who will play harder and try more for that game... sadly...

I feel as though.......... coutinho has to start but he needs to work a lot harder and take more risks in pressing etc. I can see allen dropping out for gerrard but maybe lucas either.

I think If johnson plays is a very inconsistent message. He's played the last 3. was awful at left full.... played rb and was average v stoke (kind that) surely then with this game coming har don the heels he's got to be rested.

Can enrique play again this time?

    Will rodgers stick with toure?

As much as I'm not a fan of Johnson and not 100% on Toure we need some consistency so keep the same back 4 and Lucas that kept a clean sheet against Stoke please!

that might be sensible... not sure physically its possible though... I'd certainly not change cbs and if lucas was subbed off v stoke then perhaps he will play. It'd make sense!

Lucas gives us that bit of protection and should not be dropped but **** knows what Rodgers will do.

I can't call it.... really can't we've lost a lot and have not had many clean sheets on the road so I struggle to see this being a 3-0 to LFC or anything.

    Will be tight.

I can see us winning, but I can also see us starting well, getting a goal and missing a load of chances and they sneak in and nearly win it.

Aka us of about 2-4 years ago.

Leicester are absolute bobbins. They've taken 2 points out of 8 games since beating United and have failed to score in 6 of them!

Score 1 and you should leave with 3 points..........

If there's one team likely to gift a team a goal at the moment...

...and your plan still relies on us scoring a goal.

don't think so... yes you are very right that they have been tosh for quite some games and yes they have not socred too many but equally LFC's reocrd on the road is bad ergo... score one? Not sure we'd have enough there.

If we can get 2 I think we'll win it. not sure where we'll get 2.

They're bottom of the league mate and totaly devoid of confidence. Their star man early season - Ulloa, can't hit a cows arse with a banjo at the minute.

It's about time he picked Penalty and OG has been off form since his brace at QPR
