please log in to view this image Sunday 6 April 2014 16:00 Boleyn Ground In their last home game Sam Allardyce's team was booed off the pitch despite beating 10-man Hull 2-1 thanks to a penalty and an own goal. Last season West Ham also took a 2-1 lead over us thanks to a penalty and an own goal but on that day we fought back to win 2-3 with late goals from Joe Cole and Jonjo Shelvey. West Ham were beaten 4-1 at Anfield in a game where we had an own goal each. Sakho also scored and Suarez got a late brace, with Nolan receiving a straight red for assaulting Henderson from behind.
This is the one i'm worried about, not worried about chelsea or citeh. But this is a potential banana skin can see a draw.
Our away form has been impressive of late, but these are the sort of grounds we tend to get unstuck at. With that said, keep the same mentality and attitude going in to this match and we should have to much for them in an attacking sense.
Alright you lovely lot. Been a while eh? Gotta get back on here regularly. See lots of new usernames, so hello to all of you! Would just like to say I'm very much looking forward to another game. We didn't even play that brilliantly against Spurs and still smashed them.
#heknows - Difficult game in store. Strange goings on at the weekend with West Ham. Booed off the pitch even after a win is weird to say the least... Wouldn't think it would help the players either. Have the same thoughts as I did before the Southampton & Cardiff games. Away from home and a clear banana skin. Our form is good but it's a difficult place to go. Heart says win (It always does!) and head is leaning towards another win but the potential for dropped points is there.
Isn't West Ham's pitch the smallest one in the prem? I always find that it doesn't have much space and suits the direct style more than the passing one?
I don't want an easy win for Liverpool, this time... I want an intense game! It'll be more exciting to watch.
Did nobody here see the fn state of the manc game v west ham..... Frankly LFC ought to win this one My question is will alardyce park the bus.....
I'm nervous about every game now I'd love us win this one so that we can go into the City game knowing that a win would really give us a chance of the title.
This, I want the city game to really count. Even if they beat us, it will be great going into a big game that counts. As for West Ham, they can be resilient and tough to beat, but the crowd are getting on their back lately, will that cause problems?
I think this could be a tricky game cause I get the feeling they will park the bus like they did against Chelsea earlier in the season so it will be all down to if we can wear them down.
