I've gone for a win because I always try and stay positive and will except nothing less!

In reality Saints play fast, direct, attacking football which is something we're not good at playing against - like Swansea today, and Saints earlier this season and last season at their place.

We have a poor record down their way and they will fancy their chances.

Having said that they're not what they were earlier in the season (although only lost like 1 in 6 I think) and we are a better team than the one that got mauled last year.

I can see us losing or nicking a win. I'll got for 1-2 Pool.

Spurs losing today takes the pressure off a little for this fixture, so hopefully we can be more patient, have more composure and keep the ball, defend well and go and win.

 

You did well to beat Astro to it. I'm sure he has it sat ready and waiting for the final whistle of the previous game

The team is starting to show its metal forcing with 2 important win's despite not playing great football. This is the type of game that would usually bring us crashing back down to earth but this Liverpool team is a little bit different than any i have ever witnessed. Goals seem to be flowing freely and despite Suarez having a bad patch and our sieve like defense, players like ford, Hendo and Sterling are stepping up to fill the gap. There is a belief in their play, they know they can create chances out of nothing and score goals from anywhere.
This game is no doubt going to be another roller coaster ride, but i recon we might scrape it 2-3 Liverpool, coming back from 2-0.

 

Morning all. Should be a great game. Certainly can't see it being goalless. We haven't been taking our chances but Rickie is due a goal so I'm hoping we can nick it. Could do with Suarez missing the coach!

 

Another team with great movement and a high pressing game, I agree, this game as goals in it...
Gonna be tough and with your recent performances against us, I think we're due a result (I hope), won't be easy, may need the SAS to bail our defence out again.

going for a 2-2 draw myself.

we know our defence is ****e, has more holes than my colander, but we have goals in us other end.

are we good enough to get 3, will depend on if luis has his shooting boots back.

 

Statistically, at some point we will fluke an away clean sheet. The last one in the league was at WHL. The only other was was Aston Villa 2nd game of the season. Maybe #due one on Saturday...

We've been making loads of chances just not taking them. Hope that changes Saturday.

 

Suarez well overdue a goal or two, I think he'll get them against Southampton what I'm not sure on is how many they will score.

So, who shall we play in defense.... Unchanged? back to the previous weeks defense? Just Flanagan bossing our box on his own?

 

This game is probably one of the hardest to predict all season. Funnily, the difficulty this time lies with our opponents. Just which Saints are going to turn up? One week they seem to be back on song and the next they play like a big bag of ****e!. Comparatively, our performance are almost metronomic

I think with this one I'll wait to see what the collective wisdom has to say before making any predictions.

 

LfC to really draw not just me voting draw for good luck.... Can't see us holding a lead so I am hoping we score but mostly that the midfield shows arsenal level energy not Swansea level lazy ness that required Allen to show the way
