The previous meeting on 21 December saw Liverpool win 3-1 with first half goals from Suarez (2) and Sterling. That win took us top of the league over Christmas until the Boxing Day loss at The Etihad.
We are already top of the form table and a win against Cardiff would see us have 6 straight wins and be undefeated in 11 league games #nojinx please log in to view this image
Our away form problems are a thing of the past....I hope! Big win here please....Really want to erode Cities goal difference....you never know!! Tan deserves nothing but relegation and financial humiliation! Oh, and I want to see that Norwegian manc choking back the tears
i have voted draw so my superstition is fulfilled. We simply have to win this one and play like we do v big teams.
Provided we stick to the one game at a time philosophy and prepare properly we'll win this one. Cardiff will provide a very different challenge to United. They will certainly scrap for every ball so we need to match that commitment and use our advantage in class to be highly clinical in front of goal.
Always difficult playing a team fighting for PL survival but if we play our footy and take our chances we should get the win.
cardiff have not done enough. mckay wanted 3 players and solksjaer didn't get those. caulker is good and did well. but lets put our faith in SAS. if sturridge actually passes it for once we'll cut them up. no question. Suarez is wanting goals and so is sturridge but if the greediness continues rodgers will need to bench sturridge to show him the team comes first.
For some reason, I have a bad feeling also. As MITO says, just put faith in our attack and they should see us through.
Heart is optimistic.. Head is pessimistic.. However, we win the next two games and the other results go our way, then I the pessimistic head may be over ruled by the Heart... In the "past" we've slipped up at "lesser" teams after a great result. Start fast, get a goal or two early and we should see out the game, longer it goes with Cardiff still in the game then we could drop points.
Danger zone. We always play worse against small teams after a big win against a perceived rival. I don't know if we will win, lose, or draw but I predict we will be disappointed with our performance regardless of outcome. Big game hangover.
