Aston Villa host Arsenal tonight, then come to #fortress Anfield on Saturday for the late kick-off.

Allen and Sakho should be fit again.

Villa are a pure counter attack team..
We should have loads of possession, if we don't over commit (like we did last year against them) then we should nullify their main form of attack, we score early it could be another goal-fest.

No easy games but I will be extremely pissed off if we don't get 3 points.

Hope Villa get something from Arsenal tonight. If not I can see them getting something against us as they are getting very very desperate for a win

its a question. monday night game... need the train up. will the arsenal fans turn out? will their team.

Villa don't turn out at home period.

If i had to bet i'd bet on arsenal but giroud should be playing.

Villa would have gone down last season if it wasn't for Benteke.

He's been useless this term, so they could be in big trouble come May if he doesn't find his shooting boots soon.

Despite their counter attacking ability, I can't see them giving you too much trouble at Anfield, easy home win imo.

I think there are way too many worse teams for Villa to need to worry.

    look to the form table

    http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/matchday/form-guide.html

villa are 5th bottom right now with 5 points from home games in the last 6 and 8 from 6 away... 12 games of rubbish.

    cardiff, swansea, norwich, palace.... villa.

I think they will be bottom 5 unless something changes dramatically... ie manager changing.

swansea are absolutely dross right now... nobody is commenting.

anyway.... tobes is right on villa... they are in awful form but we can't take it for granted.... get it to saurez!

Theoretically, this should be less of a challenge than Stoke. I'm optimistic and will be saddened by anything less than 2.9 points from this game.

There are 4 teams with worse form than Aston Villa, and they are already below Aston Villa in the league table

For me, 4 teams already below you and earning less points than you means there's nothing to be #worried about <ok>

It's not like I actually care about Villa though, I can see why they could be worried, I was worried by only having a 2 goal lead against Stoke FFS

I'd move Johnson to LB and put Kelly at RB. Cissoko isn't good enough for me. (Not that Johnson has been performing as good as he can recently).

In the empty spot on the bench perhaps Smith. He wasn't great against Chelsea but would like to see him try against a less difficult team and would prefer an eager if untested youth on the bench to Cissoko, whom is only on loan and known not to be up to it.

and I really want to see Coutinho at no.10. I think he is miles miles miles better there than on the wings.
