I'm just putting this on as an update to a thread sometiime ago about away attendances. The clubs official twitter feed just put this up: FACT: #hullcityteam's average away support this season was 1,227. Ave home att was 21,125. Thanks for your support! #hcafc Hope that clears our up.
Over 1200 as an average is pretty decent considering our dire away form last season. Home attendances looking strong as well. Maintain that figure and create a better atmosphere next season (coinciding with improved home form), and I think everyone will be happy
Are we classing 2010/2011 as last season now? Fair enough, our away form was dire in the 2009/2010 season where we went 14 months without a win away from home. Therefore, I am surprised the away attendances in 2010/2011 were as high as they were given the fact we didn't win an away game for the whole of the 2009/2010 season, and then not until October last season when we beat Norwich And let's be honest, although we went 17 unbeaten away, games such as Barnsley (1-1), Leicester (1-1) and Palace (0-0) weren't exactly great performances.
2009/2010 was the season before last, the figures refer to last season. Not that it matters, but it does avoid confusion.
it was me that posed the original question but i wonder how it compares to other teams averages for away fans. Leeds will have topped I am sure it but who else?
from their respective showings at our place, I do not believe derby, leicester, cardiff or millwall. some of the others seem spurious. i d probably believe the top three!!
I know you're just after a bite, but other than our own all the away supports we've seen this season have been at the KC, so any judgement is comparing like for like and they were **** compared to the other teams. Unless you're saying people from Derby, Cardiff, Millwall, and Leicester are going to be most put off coming to Hull due to coming from the most upper class areas of any fans in the division? BTW, the figure for us is wrong on that list, so how reliable are the other figures?
